Vehicle stolen from Iola Car Show

Missing Mustang found in Green Bay

A vehicle stolen from the Iola Car Show was located nine days later in Green Bay.

At 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 9, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a car that was purchased at the car show then stolen.

The vehicle was described as a black 1968 Ford Mustang with white C-stripes.

On July 18, the Mustang was recovered in Green Bay after a business owner reported seeing the vehicle near his property.

Green Bay police responded to the scene, checked the vehicle identification number and determined it was the vehicle stolen from Iola.

Waupaca County sheriff’s deputies were assisted by Iola police, Iola Car Show personnel, Green Bay police and Waupaca Mobil Truck Stop in transporting the vehicle back to Waupaca County.

The incident remains under investigation.
