Waupaca County sheriff’s report July 24

• July 18 – A Clintonville man on Elm Grove Road reported finding a large chunk of concrete in a field that caused damage to a haybine. He believed it was put there on purpose.

• July 18 – An Iola man on County Trunk G reported that his wife and children were home alone. A man on a bike came by the house and asked if she could give him a ride. He also asked if she was home alone. He later drove off.

• July 18 – Portage County Sheriff’s Office forwarded a call to Waupaca. A male was saying, “Get an officer there now.” A woman was heard saying: “He is hitting me.” The call kept cutting out.

• July 18 – Red Banks Resort in Fremont reported that a woman who was not supposed to be there was sleeping in one of their cabins.

• July 18 – A Waupaca woman on Bartlett Street reported that her front door was smashed in.

• July 18 – A Farmington woman on County Trunk QQ reported her neighbor damaged her fence while doing some work.

• July 18 – Faulks Brothers reported a chainsaw in the middle of U.S. Highway 10. One call later, a man reported losing a chainsaw between Waupaca and Amherst. He was advised to pick it up at Faulks Brothers.

• July 18 – A Bear Creek woman reported she was bitten by her daughter’s cat.

• July 18 – An St. Lawrence township supervisor reported a stop sign was cut down and removed.

• July 18 – A cell phone caller reported that her daughter is “flipping out” and may try to kill herself.

• July 18 – A cell phone caller reported a man was threatening to kill himself. He left the house with pills and a knife.

• July 18 – A Waupaca woman on Stone Ridge Road reported that someone in their building was yelling and screaming profanities.

• July 18 – A Manawa caller on Depot Street reported that a woman who had been drinking would not leave. Nothing physical – he just wanted her gone.

• July 19 – A caller reported illegal burning. There were items in a burn pile creating a black smoke.

• July 19 – A cell phone caller reported her adult son was acting aggressively, throwing things and not taking his meds.

• July 19 – A New London woman on Shultz Road reported a couple TVs and a computer monitor tossed in the ditch.

• July 19 – A Milwaukee caller reported her husband was drowning. The man later died.

• July 19 – An anonymous caller reported that a woman was acting up and causing problems at Boondocks Bar & Grill in Manawa.
• July 19 – A Waupaca caller on Jess Lane reported his mailbox was hit.

• July 19 – A Scandinavia caller on Smokey Valley Road reported that she could not get into her residence. She said a man changed the locks without informing her.

• July 19 – A Waupaca woman on Tomahawk Trail reported a death. A male shot himself and there was blood all over.

• July 19 – A Clintonville man on Graetz Road reported that a person sent Snapchat messages stating he was going to shoot up their house.

• July 19 – A Waupaca caller on Akron Avenue reported she felt suicidal while home alone. It was because her boyfriend broke up with her.

• July 20 – A male caller reported he sold a car at the Iola Old Car Show for $7,000 cash and a $10,000 check. The check bounced.

• July 20 – Aspirus Waupaca reported that a transgendered female cancelled her appointment and indicated she was thinking about hurting herself.

• July 20 – Am Manawa man reported a white Ram truck took out two mailboxes on State Highway 54 and pulled into the Bear Lake campground.

• July 20 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile being aggressive towards staff. Two staffers were injured.

• July 20 – A man reported that his ex-wife and her new boyfriend litter on his property. Its ongoing issue and he saw them do it today.

• July 20 – An unknown caller reported a man standing in a lane of traffic near the Wolf River campground. He was a shirtless white male in his 30s with dreadlocks and “appeared to be on something.”

• July 20 – A Scandinavia caller reported a man was driving around and flipped off him and his girlfriend. The man did not have a driver’s license.

• July 21 – A Clintonville caller on Brent Street reported her brother heard their father that he was going to kill his wife in assisted living and then kill himself.

• July 21 – Waupaca Department of Health and Human Services requested a welfare check on a child with unexplained injuries from a doctor.

• July 21 – A caller reported her license plates were stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Miracle Mountain Way near Little Hope.

• July 21 – A man reported that there were some rough family issues this week and his mother threatened suicide to his sister. She attempted suicide once before and has threatened to do it before.

• July 21 – An anonymous caller reported her friend her friend sent a Snapchat message stating she would kill herself. In the past she has taken pills and slit her wrists.

• July 21 – The Landing Strip in Waupaca reported a man in the bar who wouldn’t leave and was trying to get a woman to leave with him.

• July 22 – An ambulance was dispatched to Hartman Creek State Park for a woman who broke her leg while riding a horse.

• July 22 – A Clintonville caller reported that a man living with him stole and pawned his 2013 Can-Am four wheeler.

• July 23 – The Bear Creek Travel Plaza reported a gas drive-off valued at $67. The vehicle was an older white Chevy Trailblazer.

• July 23 – A Fremont caller on State Road reported a power line was struck by lightning and it burst into flame.

• During this period, the water patrol stopped multiple boats on the Wolf River, there were numerous deer-auto collisions, many reports of controlled burns and there was one report of a Jack Russell terrier running loose.
