Lois Mae Dorschner, age 101, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022 at Bethany Home in Waupaca, WI.
Lois was born December 11, 1920 in Waupaca, WI; daughter of Corry and Edith (Rasmussen) Wood. On March 27, 1941, she married Ervin A. Dorschner and They enjoyed 32 years of marriage before his passing on January 22, 1976.
Lois was vice president and president of the F.A. Marden Woman’s Relief Corps for five years and was a delegate to the State Convention. Lois was a Past Noble Grand of Samaritan Rebekah Lodge No.127. She was also a member of the Waupaca County Department of Human Services Volunteer Program. Lois also enjoyed 20 years of square dancing with her husband as the caller. She loved playing many kinds of card games, bingo and doing jigsaw puzzles.
Lois is survived by three children, Gloria (Terry) Laack of Rudolph, WI, Donald of Wauwatosa, WI and Nancy (Dennis) Nelson of Leander, TX; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, Ervin, Lois was preceded in death by her sisters Dorothy Winkler, Viona Jorgenson, Ellen Reed and brothers Kenneth and George Wood.
A funeral service will be on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca with Reverend Erin Coutts officiating. Burial will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park. Friends may call on Friday, August 5th from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
