Milestone for Legion
Iola post celebrates 95th anniversary

Sheveland-Taylor American Legion Post 14 will celebrate its 95th anniversary Saturday, Aug. 6.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park, 200 Main St., Iola.
Mad Dog & Merrill will grill hot dogs and brats. Visitors will have the opportunity to view the park’s memorials at the park and can also view historical stories posted in the windows of area businesses.
In case of rain, the event will take place at the Iola Historical Society’s machine shed at 222 Depot St.
