Police find stolen property in storage unit, car

Kevin J. Christianson, 37, Marion, is charged in Waupaca County with three counts of burglary, concealing stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On June 15, 2021, Sgt. Bill Zeamer, with the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, responded to a burglary complaint on Slough Road in Weyauwega.

Among the items reported stolen were a passport and two computer monitors.

On June 22, Trempealeau police pulled over a vehicle. Sky Stuebs was the driver and Christianson was the passenger. The two were subsequently arrested and the vehicle searched.

According to the criminal complaint, Stuebs cooperated with the police and admitted to participating in three burglaries in Weyauwega with Christianson.

She also said Christianson had a storage unit on County Trunk X in Weyauwega.

When Trempealeau police searched the car Stuebs had been driving, they said that “the amount of evidence they found in the vehicle was overwhelming,” according to the complaint.

They also reported finding narcotics.

Officers located items reported stolen from Weyauwega, the Fox Valley, Madison and the state of Iowa.

Waupaca County deputies searched Christianson’s storage unit and found more stolen property.

Christianson is currently in the Monroe County Jail.

He has been sentenced to prison multiple times since 2003. Christianson’s prior convictions include two counts of taking a vehicle without consent in 2003, second-degree sexual assault of a child in 2005, felon in possession of a firearm in 2005, battery by a prisoner in 2012, burglary and battery in January 2022.
