Waupaca County sheriff’s report Aug. 14

• Aug. 8 – An Oshkosh caller reported his ex-wife was warning his employer about him. She was also talking about him to other people. The caller did not have a restraining order on his former wife.

• Aug. 8 – A woman delivering a package in Weyauwega on Haire Road was bitten by a small black dog. The bite broke her skin but she did not seek medical treatment.

• Aug. 8 – A caller from Anchorage, Alaska reported she was visiting her Waupaca property and found a 5th wheel trailer parked there. It appeared to once have animals in it. She didn’t know if it was stolen or who owned it.

• Aug. 8 – An unknown caller reported that the back doors were open on a Goodwill truck on U.S. Highway 10 and items were falling out.

• Aug. 8 – Rawhide Youth Services reported three juveniles left the facility and could not be found.

• Aug. 8 – A Waupaca caller on Union Street reported hearing gunfire. He said he used to shoot bottle rockets and that wasn’t it.

• Aug. 9 – A New London caller on Sunrise Court reported a man was trespassing on his property. It was an ongoing issue and the man damaged some cameras.

• Aug. 9 – The Econolodge in Waupaca reported a woman crying outside.

• Aug. 9 – An unknown caller reported a man and woman were fighting in a silver Toyota car heading towards New London on County Trunk X. They appeared to be intoxicated.

• Aug. 9 – A Big Falls caller on Center Street reported receiving harassing calls from her husband. They are going through a divorce.

• Aug. 9 – A Waupaca caller on Park Lane reported loud music and people hollering. It has been a problem in the past.

• Aug. 10 – A Weyauwega caller on State Highway 110 reported a red Impala was swerving all over the road and running over cones.

• Aug. 10 – A Manawa caller on Riverview Drive reported the death of a 75-year old woman. She was found unconscious in the bathroom.

• Aug. 10 – A cell phone caller reported a gas line was hit in a construction area.

• Aug. 10 – A Waupaca caller on Butternut Road reported people on Long Lake were wake boarding without life jackets.

• Aug. 10 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported trespassers were in her woods and they have been there for a year.

• Aug. 10 – A Manawa caller on Fuhs Road reported a truck on fire in a field.

• Aug. 11 – The Citgo in Fremont reported a black Trailblazer was parked there for a month with expired plates.

• Aug. 11 – A Weyauwega caller on Desert Road reported the theft a cedar tree and some logs from his barn.

• Aug. 11 – A New London caller on State Highway 54 reported she was feeling suicidal. She said her weapons were locked up.

• Aug. 11 – A Waupaca caller on Lind Center Road reported someone was leaving disgusting voicemails on her answering machine.

• Aug. 11 – A caller reported a woman was running a puppy mill at a given address and there was also a horse there that could barely walk.

• Aug. 11 – A Clintonville caller on Kuschel Road reported a woman that boards her horse there was intoxicated and “isn’t mentally stable.”

• Aug. 11 – A New London caller on Oakwood Lane reported her sister-in-law keeps calling and harassing her.

• Aug. 11 – A Weyauwega caller on West Parker Street reported a man just wearing shorts was in the middle of the road yelling and running.

• Aug. 12 – An Iola caller on West Hill Road reported that kids were pushing over stop signs and he has a blue spruce that was pushed over.

• Aug. 12 – A Waupaca caller on High Street reported hearing a gunshot in the parking lot next door to the apartment complex.

• Aug. 12 – An anonymous caller reported a suspicious man sitting in a white truck in a parking lot for 10 minutes. The man got out of the vehicle and was buckling his pants.

• Aug. 12 – A New London caller on Fitzgerald Road reported that his neighbor came onto his property and borrowed his tractor without his permission. The tractor was returned.

• Aug. 12 – An anonymous caller reported he purchased pornographic images from a website and now he is receiving calls from someone claiming they are a federal agent.
• Aug. 13 – A female caller reported a vehicle stopped on River Road near U.S. Highway 10. Two people inside looked possibly deceased.

• Aug. 13 – On a 911 cell phone call, a female was heard saying, “Stop hitting me.” There was a scuffling noise in the background and a male voice. The call disconnected before more information was available.

• Aug. 13 – A New London man on Collier Road reported his dog was attacked by a pit-bull mixed dog running loose.

• Aug 13 – An anonymous caller reported two pit bulls running loose in the neighborhood.

• Aug. 13 – A caller reported hearing “booms.” They were possibly gunshots. She said it came from a hill or swamp by Old Highway 22.

• Aug. 13 – An anonymous caller reported hearing a “bass” sound near Weyauwega Road.

• Aug. 13 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported a resident had an undisclosed amount of money taken from him.

• Aug. 13 – A New London woman on State Highway 54 reported a house fire.

• Aug. 13 – A caller reported he was at his daughter’s residence and was being choked by her husband.

• Aug. 14 – A caller reported he slammed on his brakes to avoid a deer; his truck flipped, it took out a power pole and he walked away uninjured.

• Aug. 14 – A New London man on Weyauwega Road reported his ex-wife came over, threw a plastic dinosaur at him, swelling shut his eye and then hit him in the genitals several times. She left in a silver Jeep.

• Aug. 14 – A Waupaca caller on Otter Drive reported her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend was screaming at her, refusing to leave and threatening to hit her.

• During this period, there were numerous deer-auto collisions and a few reports of controlled burns. There were numerous misdials from Apple watches. There was one report of cows loose in the road and one report of a black Labrador retriever that jumped out of a boat and ran off.
