Waupaca County sheriff’s report Sept. 2

• Aug. 29 – An Ogdensburg woman on North Water Drive reported 20 cows were in the roadway. As she was on the line, the cows ran up to somebody’s house.

• Aug. 29 – An Iola man on Trout Creek Road reported his ex-girlfriend was at his house removing her items. She broke an agreement they had that she should only be there when he knows she is coming.

• Aug. 29 – A cellphone caller reported a propane truck driving near Weyauwega. It looked like it was leaking propane and he could smell it.

• Aug. 29 – A Waupaca caller on Lind Center Road reported she filed a restraining order on a man. That man just slashed her tires, damaged her car, yelled obscenities at her and left.

• Aug. 29 – A Clintonville caller on High Street reported she asked her neighbor – who lives with his father next door – not to mow on her property.

• Aug. 29 – A Manawa caller on Diane Court reported her ex-husband just entered her house. They were going through a divorce. She wasn’t home. She was watching him on a camera.

• Aug. 29 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported people were trespassing on her property again. There were holes in the west wall of her house.

• Aug. 29 – A Waupaca caller on Bunker Road reported a noise complaint. Her neighbor was using a backhoe and it was extremely loud.

• Aug. 30 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk QQ reported a suspicious pickup parked in front of her mother’s place next door. The truck was there for an hour with its lights on.

• Aug. 30 – A Waupaca man on Park Lane Drive reported a 72-year old male barely conscious on the kitchen floor. He appeared injured and was still breathing.

• Aug. 30 – Dubuque Correctional Facility asked for a welfare check on a Waupaca County woman who sent an email to an inmate saying she was going to kill herself.

• Aug. 30 – A Clintonville caller on Glendale Court asked for a welfare check on her friend who just sent her a voice message with her saying, “Get away from me.” Her boyfriend has been violent in the past.

• Aug. 30 – An anonymous caller reported that a man was “flipping out” and threatening to hurt the caller.

• Aug. 31 – A Waupaca caller on Richard Street reported she was scammed out of $1,000. It was an offer where if she sent $1,000 she would get a grant of $100,000.

• Aug. 31 – A Manawa caller on Bridge Street reported a pickup truck on fire.

• Aug. 31 – ABC Childcare reported a power line pole and utility line down in the roadway.

• Aug. 31 – A Marion man on Garfield Avenue went to leave his home and all of the tires on his Chevy Silverado were flat.

• Aug. 31- A caller reported that someone picked all the apples off his apple tree.

• Aug. 31 – Dollar General in Embarrass reported a customer buying gift cards. The person was involved in a suspected scam and already out $1,000.

• Aug. 31 – A Waupaca woman on Harrison Street reported a silver pick-up truck smashed into some construction equipment and drove off.

• Sept. 1 – A Manawa woman on Swamp Road reported the sound of a semiautomatic rifle in the area.

• Sept. 1 – A Manawa caller on Bridge Street reported harassment. Someone had been screaming insults at her from a car window.

• Sept. 1 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a runaway who was last seen 40 minutes ago.

• Sept. 1 – An anonymous cellphone caller requested an ambulance for a 55-year old man who had been drinking all day. The man was unconscious and his breathing was shallow.

• During this period, there were numerous deer-auto collisions (many fawns) and a few reports of controlled burns. The sheriff’s water patrol stopped four boats. There were reports of a few cows getting loose and an officer escorted a “dinosaur-sized” snapping turtle across County Trunk QQ .
