The Waupaca boys’ soccer team split a pair of recent games with Green Bay West and Fox Valley Lutheran.

The Comets beat Green Bay West 9-1 Sept. 1 and dropped a 2-1 North Eastern Conference decision Aug. 30 to the Foxes.

John Callaway converted a penalty kick early in the game and Jin Lee scored later in the half to give Fox Valley Lutheran a 2-0 halftime lead.

Waupaca cut the lead in half on a penalty kick in the second half, but couldn’t come up with the tying goal.

The Comets hosted Ashwaubenon Sept. 6; will head to Pulaski Thursday, Sept. 8; and will resume their North Eastern schedule at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, in Clintonville against the Truckers.
