Waupaca County sheriff’s report Sept. 11

• Sept. 2 – A Fremont man on County Trunk H reported a vehicle went into the ditch by the water channel. The driver was not entrapped or injured.

• Sept. 2 – A female caller reported a white moving van-type truck with three guys in the cab, each of them with beers in their hands. The truck was all over the road. The truck pulled into an address on Cut-Off Road right before Robe Road in Caledonia.

• Sept. 2 – A Clintonville man on Kratzke Road reported a smashed mailbox.

• Sept. 2 – A Clintonville man on Kutchenriter Road reported finding a bullet hole in his shed.

• Sept. 2 – An Iola man on County Trunk J reported his landlord removed the electric box at his residence.

• Sept. 2 – A Clintonville woman on Sievers Road reported someone drove through her grass with a tractor.

• Sept. 2 – A juvenile female reported her parents were arguing and her father hit her mother. She said everything was fine now and no officer would be needed.

• Sept. 2 – A New London woman on Ledgeview Drive reported a dark-colored four wheeler trespassing on some property.

• Sept. 2 – The Chain Bar and Grill in King reported a male in the bar threatening to beat up people.

• Sept. 3 – A Clintonville woman on 6th Street reported the neighbor’s children destroyed her estate sale signs.

• Sept. 3 – A Dayton woman on Camp Road reported that a black pontoon boat pulled tubers in front of the Chief Waupaca paddleboat.

• Sept. 3 – A person near Premier Community Bank in Fremont reported finding a weapon while magnet fishing.

• Sept. 3 – A Waupaca woman on Oakland Drive reported she was in the car with her granddaughter. The granddaughter was hitting her and trying to jump out of the car.

• Sept. 3 – Kinney Lake Campground in Marion reported a disorderly camper refusing to leave. Their security had already dealt with him earlier in the day.

• Sept. 3 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home in King reported two residents had their hands around each other’s neck.

• Sept. 3 – An Appleton man reported the death of a 93-year-old Weyauwega woman.

• Sept. 3 – A Waupaca man on Marion Lane reported someone stole hunting equipment out of his garage. Two crossbows and a compound bow were missing.

• Sept. 4 – A Waupaca man on Pryse Road reported his doorbell camera captured what appeared to be an Amazon delivery driver dropping off something at his doorstep but he did not order anything recently from Amazon. He was out of the area and asked if this could be checked out.

• Sept. 4 – A Waupaca man on Butternut Road reported his son was attempting to leave with three children that were in the caller’s custody. Then he said, “Never mind” and hung up.

• Sept. 4 – A New London caller reported a vehicle doing donuts and burnouts by her house near County Trunk X and Broadway Street. It looked like a black Camaro and both people in the car flipped off her husband.

• Sept. 4 – An anonymous caller reported a pontoon boat driving so erratically that it almost threw the tubers into a boat dock.

• Sept. 4 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home in Kind reported one resident punched another resident in the stomach because he wasn’t moving fast enough.
• Sept. 4 – Kinney Lake Campground in Marion reported some people there trying to sell drugs.

• Sept. 4 – An Iola woman on Roosevelt Road called an ambulance for a 92 year-old woman with labored breathing.

• Sept. 4 – An Ogdensburg woman reported a man in the parking lot of the Manawa grocery store chugged some vodka and drove off on Bridge Street in a gray Equinox.

• Sept. 5 – A Weyauwega caller on Bartel Road reported her sister just beat her up.

• Sept. 6 – A Bear Creek man reported that his son took some of his checks. His bank notified him of this activity.

• Sept. 6 – A Green Bay woman reported that there were people on Onaway Island yelling and swearing.

• Sept. 6 – A Waupaca woman on Pebble Run Road reported a suspicious man sitting on the curb. When she left for an errand and came back, he was standing around in the same spot.

• Sept. 6 – A Waupaca caller on Spencer Lake Road reported she went hiking for an hour and upon return, her car window was smashed and items were missing.

• Sept. 6 – An Iola woman on County Trunk P reported a Ford Taurus was parked on her lawn with no explanation.

• Sept. 6 – A Fremont woman on County Trunk W reported trespassers in a field. Two people arrived around 5 p.m. and set out decoys.

• Sept. 7 – McDonald’s in Waupaca reported a woman in the drive-thru who could barely speak. She was now in the parking lot and nodding off in a black car. The caller suspected drug use.

• Sept. 7 – A Waupaca woman on Riverside Road reported her friend got into an argument with her boyfriend. He left and was afraid he might come back. They had been drinking.

• Sept. 8 – Fletch’s Corner Store in Embarrass reported a gas drive-off valued at $50. The vehicle was a blue Chevy Equinox and left heading towards Shawano.

• Sept. 8 – An Iola man on Netzler Road called to speak to a deputy about forged signatures on a life insurance policy.

• Sept. 8 – A New London man on County Trunk N reported a person came to his residence to buy an ATV. They could not agree on a price. The person became angry and sat in the caller’s driveway for 10 minutes while demanding gas money.

• Sept. 8 – Tower Mobil in Waupaca reported a gas drive-off valued at $46. The vehicle was a white Chevy Malibu.

• Sept. 8 – An Iola woman on Oak Street reported her neighbor’s dog comes into her yard and barks and growls at her.

• Sept. 8 – A bus driver for the Marion School District reported having video of a vehicle not stopping for the stop sign that folds out from the bus when kids cross the street.

• Sept. 8 – A Waupaca woman reported that a person notified her about committing suicide.

• Sept. 8 – A caller reported she found footprints and fingerprints near a window of an upstairs room and her handgun was missing from her bedroom.

• Sept. 8 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported people running around her yard and shooting things at her house that left a gassy smell.

• Sept. 9 – A Clintonville man reported that someone did burnouts in his hayfield on Sievers Road.

• Sept. 9 – An Iola man on Lutz Road reported he paid $50,000 to a contractor in April and work was still infinished.

• Sept. 9 – An ambulance was called for a 76 year-old man in Clintonville who was stung by bees at some hunting land.

• Sept. 9 – Rawhide Youth Services reported the theft of a staff member’s phone.

• Sept. 9 – A Bear Creek man on Shady Lane Road requested extra patrol. A truck came into his driveway and was driving slowly in the area. His neighbor’s reported the suspicious truck in the past.

• Sept. 9 – The Department of Veteran Affairs requested a welfare check on a local man who called the crisis hotline stating he was very suicidal and was trying to locate a firearm.

• Sept. 9 – A Waupaca woman on Crestview Lane reported arguing with her husband all day and was now afraid of him.

• Sept. 9 – A Waupaca woman on Pryse Drive reported a mother and daughter got into a physical fight and hit each other.

• Sept. 9 – A Weyauwega woman on South Street reported someone had been inside her grandmother’s house. Things were tampered with and moved around.

• Sept. 10 – An unknown caller reported that “He took the Jeep.” When asked who’s Jeep it was, the caller said he didn’t know. He kept saying, “Her ex-boyfriend.” The caller said, “Well, the next time he comes back I’ll put a bullet in his head.”

• Sept. 10 – A Scandinavia woman on Shady Drive reported she has a restraining order against a man. When she walked into a fitness center, he was there and now she wanted him to leave.

• Sept. 10 – A Fremont man on Desert Road reported someone hit a dumpster the night before. Left behind were pieces of the vehicle.

• Sept. 10 – A Waupaca man on Pine Lane reported a man came to his house and pounded on the door and left in a dark-colored truck.

• Sept. 10 – A Wisconsin Rapids woman reported a sexual assault that happened in October 2019.

• Sept. 11 – A Waupaca woman on Shadow Road reported a silver Honda car pulled alongside her and displayed a rifle out the window.

• Sept. 11 – A Waupaca man on Berlin Street reported a man attacked his neighbor. He also stated the man does meth and was acting paranoid.

• Sept. 11 – a Marion woman on Main Street reported a man threw her things out of the house and he slapped a drink out of her hand. Both had been drinking.

• During this period, an unusually high number of burglar alarms were set off. There were numerous deer-auto collisions and many reports of controlled burns. The sheriff’s water patrol stopped nine boats. There were four dog bites and one cat bite. There were three reports of loose cows, one report of loose goats, one dog was reported chasing cars and one cat was reported as being stuck in a tree in Clintonville.
