Hansen, Yvonne “Bunny”

Yvonne “Bunny” A. Hansen, age 67, of Waupaca, WI, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, September 12, 2022.

She was born September 22, 1954 in Aberdeen, MD; daughter of Andrew P. and Yvonne “Peaches” (Hackbarth) Anderson. Bunny worked many years at UW-Oshkosh as their outreach program manager until her retirement in 2017. She was a hard worker throughout her life and after her retirement, she obtained her real estate license and worked as a realtor in Waupaca for the past five years. Bunny was a member of the Waupaca Breakfast Rotary, served as the director/treasurer of UW-Oshkosh Credit Union, and was a member of the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce serving on several committees. She enjoyed live music, dancing, boating and vacationing. Bunny looked forward to her annual escape to Marco Island, FL where it was truly her happy place. She loved searching for sand dollars on the beach. Bunny was an unwavering supporter of her family, friends, and community and she cherished her time spent with them. She was a loving mother, caring grandmother, and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Bunny is survived by her significant other Tim Everson of Waupaca; children Lindsay (Bill) Tate of Waupaca, Mandi Salter of Waupaca, and Ryan (Jennifer) Hansen of Jackson, WY; grandchildren Blaik Salter, Taylor Salter, Ashton Hernandez, Keira Tate, and Oviatt Hansen; a brother Andy Anderson of Waupaca; nephew Jeremy Anderson of Waupaca; niece Angela (Tim) Huebner of Stevens Point; great-nephew and great-niece Brock and Brianna Huebner; father of their children Dennis Hansen of Waupaca; and also by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Andrew P. Anderson; her mother and step-father Yvonne “Peaches” (“Big” John) Bonnell; and her sister Debra Suhs.

A Funeral Service for Bunny will be on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Andy Behrendt will officiate. A visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the church. Burial will take place following the service on Saturday at Salem (Swede) Lutheran Cemetery in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
