Jay E. Huntley, age 61, Appleton, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2022.
He was born on August 16, 1961, in New London son of William “Bill” and Kay (Lathrop) Huntley. Jay graduated from New London High School in 1979. He joined the US Navy following high school and served for 6 years. Jay was a man of simple means. He liked traveling, golfing, and enjoyed spending time with friends and holidays with his family.
Jay is survived by his mother Kay; brothers, Scott (Teri) Huntley, their sons Andrew (Karley) and Austin (special friend Ashley); Jeff (Linda) Huntley, their sons Alex and Tanner; a great-niece Haddie, and his companion and beloved dog Quiver. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; father William; many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services for Jay will be held at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Full Military Rites will be at the Floral Hill Cemetery, New London following the ceremony.
