Waupaca County sheriff’s report Oct. 10

• Oct. 4 – The Chain Exploration Center requested an officer to help with a child custody situation. A father told staff he was going to take his child when the child got off the bus at school.

• Oct. 4 – Options Treatment Programs in Appleton reported there was a woman in Waupaca who messaged them suicidal comments.

• Oct. 4 – A cell phone caller reported a suspicious silver late ‘90s Ford F150 driving with the headlights off and stopping by people’s houses in Embarass.

• Oct. 5 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home in King reported finding marijuana in a resident’s room.

• Oct. 5 – A Waupaca caller on Rural Road reported that a drywall contractor cashed a $3,500 check and disappeared.

• Oct. 5 – The New London Police Department requested a deputy to visit the New London Middle School. There was a student reporting sexual allegations at home.

• Oct. 5 – A New London caller on Depot Street reported a homeowner blows leaves in the roadway when cars are driving past and the leaves come onto his property.

• Oct. 5 – A Waupaca caller on Bruce Street reported a roofing contractor did not complete the job after being paid $19,000.

• Oct. 5 – An Iola caller on County Trunk C reported a woman in a Hyundai sedan drove past her home, then sat outside her home taking pictures.

• Oct. 5 – A woman called 911 while driving and reported a black GMC Acadia was following her.

• Oct. 5 – A caller asked for a welfare check on a woman who said she wanted to kill herself, that she was tired and wanted to end her life.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca caller on Shamrock Lane reported a $30 fraudulent charge on her debit card.

• Oct. 6 – Steiny Storage in New London reported a suspicious person at their facility.

• Oct. 6 – Canadian National reported a man trespassing on their railroad tracks.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca woman called 911 while driving and was scared. A vehicle on U.S. Highway 10 had been following her.

• Oct. 6 – A Fremont caller on Marten Road reported a suspicious pop-up screen on her computer that could be fraudulent.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca woman on Park View Way reported a suspicious trail camera that might have been placed illegally.

• Oct. 6 – A New London man reported a semi hauling an oversized load containing a farm implement struck several power lines.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca man on Oak Street reported someone was using his name and personal information to get Direct TV.

• Oct. 6 – A Waupaca caller on Bow and Arrow Drive reported she wanted to make a report. The sound of a man arguing with a woman was heard in the background.

• Oct. 6 – A female caller reported a big red truck with its flashers on and its horn going off for a long time. Two people were inside and a woman was kicked out of the truck.

• Oct. 7 – A Waupaca caller on Christmas Tree Lane reported she was scammed by Publisher’s Clearinghouse by purchasing $1,000 worth of gift cards from various places.

• Oct. 7 – An unknown caller reported a malfunctioning railroad crossing arm was blocking the road but no Canadian National train was coming.

• Oct. 7 – A Scandinavia woman on Henderson Road reported the screen of her bedroom window was removed. She thought her ex-husband did it and he might break into her house through that route.

• Oct. 7 – An Iola man on Trout Creek Road reported he sold a vehicle to a man who paid him via a cash app and a wire transfer. Two months later, the money disappeared out of his account.

• Oct. 7 – A Marion man on Ramsdell Street reported having an altercation with his future ex-wife. She was being violent and now she was following him with a friend in a red pickup.

• Oct. 7 – The Waushara County Sheriff Department passed on a report for a person who was suicidal and threatening to kill two other people.

• Oct. 7 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk E reported a man’s death.

• Oct. 7 – An anonymous caller reported a man named Bill kept waking him up. Bill was drunk and yelling and swearing.

• Oct. 8 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reporting finding marijuana in the room of a resident.

• Oct. 8 – A Waupaca man on Bags Hill Road reported a theft. A man took $4,700 and returned it today but $9,800 was still missing.

• Oct. 8 – The Shawano Sheriff Department requested ambulance assistance for a very intoxicated 19 year old.

• Oct. 9 – A Waupaca man on King Road reported a truck pulling out of the Waupaca High School parking lot with 5-6 youth riding in the bed.

• Oct. 10 – A Winneconne woman reported she was at her boyfriend’s house. Her boyfriend’s father had been drinking for two days straight. He was destructive, punching holes in walls and breaking mirrors. He was also sexually touching the caller.

• Oct. 10 – A Waupaca woman on Western Avenue reported a person with a concussion who has suicidal symptoms. She listed a number of weapons in the house.

• During this period, there were many deer-auto collisions and controlled burns. A man reported a dead cow in a field, an eagle was reported as blocking traffic in the roadway, loose cows were reported on County Trunk E and near Silver Lake Road. A caller reported running over a dog. Two dog bites were reported. Two loose horses were reported and a bowhunter reported two cows loose in a cornfield.
