Reinert, Marion L.

Marion L. Reinert, of New London, age 92, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022.

She was born in the Town of Bovina, WI on March 25, 1930 to the late Arthur and Zeylaya (Ross) Winterfeldt. Marion lived in New London most of her life, living in her home since 1956. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church. She loved fishing with her kids, grandkids and nephews. She also enjoyed sewing, crafting, playing cards, her birds, dogs and cats. She had a wonderful garden, feeding family and neighbors. Marion grew up during the depression and was always able to rework or repurpose things to give them new life.

She will be sadly missed by her children: Kathryn Young, William (Dawn) Reinert and Mary (Thomas) Thibodeau; son-in-law: John Groat; brother-in-law: Gordon Zeinert; grandchildren: John Young, Jeff (Jessica) Young, Kelly Young, Melissa (Jacob) Kappus, Brooke Halle, Robin (Brett) Kain; great grandchildren: Keanna (Austin) Thompson, Keegan Johnson, Connor Price, Destiny Price, Dylan Kappus, Kaylee Kappus, Owen Kappus, Jacob Kappus, Adriena (fiancé, Corey Vanden Zanden) Schmidt, Ryan (fiancée, Julie Baumgart) Schmidt, Jeremy Schmidt, Natalie and Emilie Kain, Jacob and Lydia Young; great great grandchildren: Isabella and Rowen Thompson, Jasper Price, Coralee Price, Ayla Price, Riley Schmidt and Raelyn Schmidt; special friend: Paul Pagano; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Groat, son, John Reinert, sons-in-law, James Young and Robert “Skip” Houk Jr.; sisters, Delores (Roger) Schmidt, Valgene (Hilbert) Zuberbier, Carrie Zeinert, brother, Russel (Idella) Winterfeldt.

The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 E. Quincy Street, New London. The visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery. The family would like to thank St. Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay, Shepherd’s Inn in Seymour, and Unity Hospice.
