Waupaca County sheriff’s report Oct. 16

• Oct. 10 – A Clintonville caller reported an early ‘90s tan Buick Le Sabre parked and running in the middle of the road. A man was sleeping inside the car.

• Oct. 10 – A New London caller on Steinberg Lane reported Amazon had called him seven times in 90 minutes. He suspected fraud.

• Oct. 10 – The New London Bus Garage reported a black pickup came up behind the bus, passed in the oncoming lane, almost hit a car head on that was stopped for the school bus crossing and then swerved back into the lane in front of the bus and continued on.

• Oct. 10 – A New London woman reported a male juvenile runaway. He did not come home from school, was likely to be riding a bike and had a Wi-Fi phone.

• Oct. 10 – The Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega reported a resident expressing suicidal intentions.

• Oct. 11 – A Weyauwega caller on Holiday Road reported her 30-year-old son has been living with her on and off for the past three years. He now was verbally abusive, breaking things and likely had a drug or alcohol problem.

• Oct. 11 – A Clintonville caller on State Highway 22 reported a fraud. He thought he paid his We Energies bill but it went to an unknown party.

• Oct. 11 – A New London caller on Kanaman Road reported her ex-husband was harassing her and there were videos of her on an X-rated website.

• Oct. 11 – A Clintonville caller on State Highway 156 reported a dark-haired woman wearing glasses was approaching each house and stating that her mom left her at the gas station and she needed to get back to Green Bay.

• Oct. 11 – A Marion caller on Main Street reported her son was out toilet papering and a parent hit him in the head with a 2-by-4. He did not need an ambulance.

• Oct. 12 – A Waupaca caller on Leroy Butler Drive reported her daughter attacked her and she had marks on her face.

• Oct. 12 – A cellphone caller reported he was going to commit suicide as he was in so much pain that he could not stand it anymore.

• Oct. 12 – A Manawa caller on County Trunk BB reported being contacted by Publisher’s Clearinghouse and he believed they had fraudulent intentions.

• Oct. 12 – A Scandinavia caller on County Trunk B reported he put up trail cameras to catch people trespassing on his land because they were taking shortcuts around the road construction at the intersection.

• Oct. 12 – A Waupaca caller on Rural Road reported paying a roofing contractor $3,500 for materials and he has not done the work and is avoiding her calls.

• Oct. 13 – A New London caller on Beacon Avenue reported his fiancé’s ex is harassing them with ongoing mental abuse.
• Oct. 13 – A Waupaca man on Lamplighter Lane reported a roofing contractor for fraud. The amount of money involved was $7,000.

• Oct. 13 – The Waupaca School District reported a student breaking through a door at the high school.

• Oct. 13 – An Iola woman on Moen Road reported that she was defrauded $900 over her cellphone.

• Oct. 13 – A Bear Creek caller on Bear Creek Road reported their garage was burglarized and they were missing $300 and a purse.

• Oct. 13 – A New London caller on Buelow Road reported his mailbox was smashed.

• Oct. 13 – A caller reported a man who who wanted to kill himself. The man jumped out of the caller’s vehicle and went eastbound down the railroad tracks.

• Oct. 13 – Clintonville police requested assistance in locating a man involved in a domestic incident. He was intoxicated and waving around a hatchet.

• Oct. 13 – A Weyauwega caller on Evanswood Road reported a woman who overdosed on 14 pills of OxyContin.

• Oct. 14 – An anonymous caller provided an address and asked sheriff deputies to check on the children there for poor living conditions and possible drug activity.

• Oct. 14 – A Waupaca caller on West Road reported her ex-husband was on her property and was not supposed to be there because of a court order. It looked like he was taking things.

• Oct. 14 – A Waupaca caller on Fulton Street reported she was at her mother’s house, could not open the door but she could she see her mother on the couch and she wasn’t waking up.

• Oct. 15 – An anonymous shopkeeper called about a woman lingering in her store. The woman tried to buy some items but did not have any money. She was asked to leave but refused.

• Oct. 15 – A female caller reported a young man wearing a hooded sweatshirt was walking in the middle of Hartman Creek Road. He could barely keep his eyes open.

• Oct. 15 – Red Banks Motel in Fremont reported problems with intoxicated guests driving golf carts.

• Oct. 15 – The Depot Street Station in Iola reported an unresponsive, possibly intoxicated woman locked in the bathroom.

• Oct. 16 – A Waupaca caller on Commercial Drive reported a car with its lights turned off. There were two men and a woman and they looked like they were vandalizing another car. They were spray painting it and covering it with toilet paper.

• Oct. 16 – A 911 caller reported her mother and father were arguing and her mother tried to kill herself and drank some bleach.

• Oct. 16 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home in King reported a resident turned in a bag of marijuana that fell out of another resident’s bag.

• Oct. 16 – A Weyauwega caller reported a man texted him and said that he was in a tree with a rope at Lakeview Manor and was attempting to kill himself.

• Oct. 16 – An employee at Eastside Mobil in Waupaca reported a woman arguing with her boyfriend.

• Oct. 16 – A caller reported that her boyfriend chatted on Facebook with her. He said he was being sexually assaulted by his ex-girlfriend.

• Oct. 16 – An Ogdensburg woman on Campbell Lake Road reported having a nervous breakdown.

• During this period, there were many deer-auto collisions and controlled burns. There were an abnormally high number of callers reporting instances of reckless driving. A loose heifer was reported to be living in the woods on a man’s property. One driver reported hitting a black bear. Loose cows were reported on County Trunk K and later three horses were reported loose on the same road. One white horse was reported missing in Weyauwega. Three cows were reported loose on Cut-Off Road. A wild goose was reported to be tangled in a soccer net.
