The second annual Halloween on Main is shaping up with more events and details.

The Miller pumpkin display that was formerly on Golke Road will showcase their carved pumpkin to the city square. All pumpkins will be out and viewable until 10 p.m. from Friday, Oct. 21, until Wednesday, Nov. 2.

The Halloween on Main Street event will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28. Main Street will be closed from Badger Street to Elm Street from 2-8 p.m. to protect trick-or-treaters and other pedestrians.

Activities will include trick-or-treating at local businesses, a Mad Science Laboratory with middle school science teachers, a petting zoo, the touch-a-truck featuring heavy machinery and other vehicles, a photo booth by Edward Jones, a brat fry put on by the Waupaca Genealogy Society and Historical Society and an apple tasting by the Living the Waupaca Way organization.

A Haunted Hike will take place on North Main Street along the River Ridge Trail from 6-8 p.m. High School Drama Club students will haunt the woods along the path.

Also there is a rumor that some zombies will make an appearance on Main Street but it is not certain when they will rise from the dead.
