Waupaca County sheriff’s report Oct. 30

• Oct. 24 – An Appleton man reported that his neighbor’s horses kept getting out and were eating his food plot.

• Oct. 24 – A New London man on Stage Road reported seeing an upside down flag near the road. An upside down flag is a sign of great distress or danger.

• Oct. 24 – A Waupaca caller on Pine Lane reported a woman was harassing him by phone, text messages and on Facebook. She threatened to steal a tire out of his yard.

• Oct. 24 – A Waupaca caller on Setter Lane requested a welfare check on a woman in her 50s who was walking down the road very slowly for the past two hours.

• Oct. 24 – Canadian National reported two people were standing on top of a parked train.

• Oct. 24 – A caller reported a fraud. She was contacted by a man who stated he could help her with moving expenses if she sent him $100. She sent him two $50 gift cards.

• Oct. 24 – A caller reported finding a blue shirt with blood on it in a ditch.

• Oct. 25 – A Waupaca caller on Stratton Lake Road reported that a woman was dumping trees on his property and harassing him.

• Oct. 25 – A New London caller on Bear Lake Road reported she received a suspicious unsolicited package that had no shipping or identification information.

• Oct. 25 – The Waupaca County Courthouse reported a disorderly incident on the third floor. Punches were thrown.

• Oct. 25 – A Waupaca caller on Hillcrest Drive reported the death of a 59-year-old man who was locked in a van with two dogs.

• Oct. 25 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile getting into a fight.

• Oct. 25 – An Ogdensburg woman on County Trunk B reported a GMC Terrain parked directly on the railroad tracks. It was unoccupied.

• Oct. 25 – An unknown caller reported the death of a 65-year-old man. The caller thought it was a heart attack. The man was not breathing or conscious.

• Oct. 26 – Iola Elementary School reported a parent said concerning things about the family being in danger of a stalker.

• Oct. 26 – Jellystone Park in Fremont reported that people had parked a maroon sedan in the campground and slept in the car. They were still there, the car was broken down and they had no means for a tow.

• Oct. 26 – A caller reported she almost hit a scooter that did not stop for a stop sign. Her dog flew up and hit the windshield, cracking it. She was following the scooter now.

• Oct. 26 – Assured Recovery reported they were repossessing a UTV by court order. The UTV owner stated he sold it, however, the bank claimed this was not true. The repo company believed he was hiding it on his property.

• Oct. 26 – A female caller reported there was a man sitting in the back of his SUV along the side of the road. His head was down. She asked if he was okay. He was sobbing and said he was stressed out. He then took off heading towards Symco.

• Oct. 26 – An Iola man on Brandt Road reported his upset girlfriend would not leave his house. She was hitting him.

• Oct. 27 – An Ogdensburg man on Hermanson Lake Road reported trespassing. He was sitting in his tree stand and someone shot a gun to scare ducks off the lake.

• Oct. 27 – A Weyauwega woman on County Trunk F reported her ex is was trying to get into her social media accounts and was requesting her phone records. She has a restraining order against him.

• Oct. 27 – A Weyauwega caller on Sumner Street reported a teenager threw a rock through her kitchen window.
• Oct. 27 – A Weyauwega caller on Paap Road reported a man was coming onto his property, stealing lawnmower parts and damaging things.

• Oct. 27 – Sunset BP in Weyauwega reported a man passed out in a white SUV.

• Oct. 28 – A 911 cell phone caller requested an ambulance for a man trapped on a roof. He had a groin injury and could not get down.

• Oct. 28 – An Iola caller on Rustad Road reported someone was coming onto his property and pulling roofing and siding off his house.

• Oct. 28 – A Scandinavia woman stopped at the sheriff department lobby to report that she was robbed in August while at a family reunion. She provided the names of two suspects and said they took jewelry, a knife collection and other things.

• Oct. 28 – A DNR warden reported a tip that a vehicle fired two shots out of the driver’s side window from a dark-colored truck.

• Oct. 29 – A anonymous caller reported a underage drinking party that was being planned on Snapchat.

• Oct. 29 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk QQ reported two loud booms.

• Oct. 29 – The Waupaca Kwik Trip on Fulton Street reported a person passed out in a Kia.

• Oct. 29 – A Manawa man on Bridge Street reported someone stole his three-wheeled bike.

• Oct. 29 – A cell phone caller reported a man jumped into a lake and was trying to swim. The man was struggling with mental issue and his action might have a suicidal intention.

• Oct. 29 – A Marion man on Meyer Street reported he was talking on the phone to a juvenile related to his girlfriend. The call was disconnected and he thought he heard a struggle. He thought someone might be being held against their will.

• Oct. 29 – A Clintonville caller reported that a man with arrest warrants might be at a certain address.
• Oct. 29 – Portage County Sheriff Department reported a man passed out six times at Central Waters. He left in an unknown direction before the ambulance arrived.

• Oct. 29 – A Fremont caller on Snow Goose Trail reported ongoing screaming outside for the past five minutes.

• Oct. 29 – A Waupaca caller on State Highway 49 reported loud music coming from a bar and it was keeping her children awake.

• Oct. 29 – A Greenville caller reported receiving suicidal text messages from his brother who said he wants to put a gun to his head.

• Oct. 29 – A cell phone caller reported a fight outside of a bar involving four people.

• Oct. 29 – The Landing Strip requested an ambulance. It was about a dancer then the call was dropped.

• Oct. 30 – A caller reported that his neighbors observed a vehicle coming and going from his cottage. No one was supposed to be there. The suspect is a tall male.

• Oct. 30 – A Weyauwega caller on Main Street reported hearing a man and woman arguing. The woman yelled, “Call the police” and ran inside the house. After that there was a loud bang in the house and a man left walking down Alfred Street.

• Oct. 30 – A Clintonville caller on Korth Road reported a man fell out of a manure spreader. He was laying there for hours and could not move.

• Oct. 30 – A 911 cell phone caller reported a man who overdosed. He had a pulse but was not breathing.

• During this period, the whitetail deer rut was underway and there were many deer-auto collisions. Many injured deer needed to be dispatched. There were a few controlled burns. Three dog bites were reported. Cows were reported loose on Desert Road and more cows were reported loose on Mertz Road. There was one report of three horses loose and another report of an injured horse running in the road. One caller reported almost hitting a timber wolf that was in the road.
