Downtown Waupaca cookie walk set for Dec. 3
The Yuletide Trail returns on Saturday, Dec. 3, for its fourth year and with it comes the return of the downtown cookie walk.
The Waupaca Historical Society organizes the cookie walk for the Yuletide Trail as a fundraiser each year.
The commemorative tins, which feature a different historic Waupaca photo each year, will be available for purchase beginning Monday, Nov. 7. Tins cost $20, and all proceeds support the Waupaca Historical Society, thanks to a sponsorship from Community First Credit Union.
The cookie walk takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. during Waupaca’s Yuletide Trail. Participants purchase commemorative tins before the event and then visit participating downtown stops for cookies to fill their tin.
This year, 20 businesses and organizations will be handing out cookies for the tins at the event.
Tins will be available at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce, Community First Credit Union and Northern Home.
