Williamson, Kent

Kent Martin Williamson, age 84. Residence Clintonville, WI, and Mesa Arizona. Died October 31st, 2022 Clintonville Wisconsin.

He was born on March 6th, 1938, to parents Robert and Dolores Williamson in Chicago, Illinois.

Kent attended Park High School in St. Paul Park, MN, class of 1956. He attended the University of Minnesota for engineering and graduated St. Thomas University MBA.

Kent married Sandra Hoffer on September 1st, 1962. They had three children, Jennifer, Jeffrey, and Polly Ann.
In September 2011, Kent married Gloria Sharp in Clintonville, WI. They went on to split their time between the cabin in McGregor, Mesa, and Clintonville.

He worked in the lab for 3M Chemolite, Medtronic as a Sr. Quality Manager, St. Jude Medical, Aero Jet Ordinance, and Janeco as VP of Manufacturing in Phoenix, Arizona. He retired in 1998 and focused on the family cabin in McGregor.

He had many hobbies included collecting RedWing pottery, genealogy, dancing, music, hunting with his Brittney spaniels, cabin life, and always looking for the best solution to a problem. Kent was President of Southwest Redwingers and was considered an expert on Redwing pottery.

Kent is preceded in death by parents Robert and Dolores Williamson, brother Dr. Scott Williamson. He is survived by Gloria Sharp, and her family, Kelly Bolgrien (David), Rebecca Gebhardt (Tim), Tom Sharp (Jill). Also, Kent’s children: Jennifer Williamson (Jim L’Allier), Polly Roemhildt (Jeff), and Jeffrey Williamson (Cathie). Sister Karen Vitkus (James). There are 13 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, nieces Jaime Vitkus, Lisa (Derek) Van Wyk, and nephews Brandon and Bryce Williamson.

A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Kok Funeral Home (7676 80th Street South, Cottage Grove, MN) with visitation beginning at 9am. Kent will be laid to rest at Newport Cemetery. Please go to the Kok Funeral Home website if you’d like to watch the livestream of his service. Local arrangements in Clintonville were assisted by the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory.
