Waupaca County sheriff’s report Nov. 17

• Nov. 14 – A Waupaca man on McAllister Road reported the dumping of a deer carcass along the road.

• Nov. 14 – A Fremont woman on Doty Street reported finding some needles near the intersection.

• Nov. 14 – A Marion woman on Quarterline Road reported receiving a suspicious check from Matthews, North Carolina.

• Nov. 14 – The Oshkosh Police Dept. requested the sheriff to arrest a man in Ogdensburg for criminal damage and a domestic case.

• Nov. 14 – An unknown caller requested extra patrol on Indian Valley Road. Vehicles were speeding on the road with no exhaust.

• Nov. 14 – A cell phone caller reported his neighbor was shooting a firearm in an unsafe direction and too close to some buildings.

• Nov. 14 – Foundations for Living in Waupaca requested assistance for a man to get some belongings at a residence.

• Nov. 14 – A male caller reported $800 was stolen from him this week.

• Nov. 15 – An unknown caller reported taking up to seven Excedrin and ibuprofen pills while making suicidal comments.

• Nov. 15 – A Manawa caller on Grove Street requested a welfare check on a sick woman who was later found dead. She was unreachable by phone and knocks on the door.

• Nov. 15 – ThedaCare of Waupaca requested a check on a patient who left the hospital with an IV in place. The patient had a history of drug use.

• Nov. 15 – A caller reported a juvenile was punched and stomped in the neck by another student. The student required X-rays and CT scans.

• Nov. 15 – A Waupaca woman on Clarke Street reported hearing someone crying and saying “Help me” from the direction of the school area.

• Nov. 15 – An ambulance was called for a 32-year-old woman who overdosed on Lorazepam.

• Nov. 15 – Fletch’s Corner Market reported a gas drive-off by an older man in a blue Ford Escape. It might have been accidental.

• Nov. 15 – A New London man on County Trunk X reported a car turned around in his driveway, smashed into his shed and took off. Car parts were left behind.

• Nov. 15 – Northport Convenience Store in New London reported they accidently charged a driver in a black truck $53 for diesel instead of $157.

• Nov. 15 – A male caller reported there was a unknown male wearing a camouflage jacket and a stocking cap looking in his back door.

• Nov. 15 – ThedaCare in Manawa reported a female patient feeling suicidal.

• Nov. 15 – A Fremont woman on Waupaca Street reported that someone went through her vehicle and rifled through her glove compartment and purse. There were tracks on the yard to the road.

• Nov. 16 – An Oshkosh delivery man requested a welfare check to an address where the packages he delivered earlier were still sitting outside. A dog was barking inside.

• Nov. 16 – The Manawa School District requested a welfare check on a student who was supposed to study online but wasn’t responding to text messages or other communication.

• Nov. 16 – A Waupaca woman on Fulton Street reported a disorderly shirtless male yelling and threatening her.

• Nov. 17 – A New London man on Oakwood Lane reported his truck’s catalytic converter was stolen.

• Nov. 17 – A Manawa man on Progress Road reported his mother sent him a photo of his father with a bloody face and said he fell down and didn’t know what to do. He believed they were both intoxicated.

• During this period, the whitetail deer rut was underway and there was large number of deer-auto collisions. Many injured deer needed to be dispatched. There were many calls for vehicles in the ditch because of the recent snowfall and a higher than normal number of auto accidents. Six Holstein cows were reported missing. A cell phone caller reported two horses running down State Highway 161. A black Angus cow was loose on Fitzgerald Road. The Outagamie County Sheriff Department requested help with a driver that hit a bobcat.
