Nanci H. I. Buchanan, age 62 of Spring Green, WI, passed away on December 16, 2022 at home.
She was born on August 23, 1960, in Fond Du Lac, WI. Nanci was married on July 2, 2009, to Robert (Bobby) Buchanan in Baraboo, WI.
Nanci is survived by her parents, LeRoy and Georgia Wiegert of Ogdensburg, WI, Husband, Bobby Buchanan, her two children, Kimberly Doering of Schofield, WI and Stuart Doering of La Crosse, WI, grandson, Oliver Lee Graveen of Schofield, WI, sister, Shari (and Kent) Curtis of Eagle River, WI, brother, David (and Chela Guzman) Wiegert of Plymouth, MN, brother-in-law, Ed Bemis of Plainfield, IL, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Nanci was preceded in death by her sister, Patti Bemis of Plainfield, IL.
Nanci graduated in 1982 from UW Madison with a Bachelor of Science/Art. She lived in St. Louis, MO from ’84-’89. Moved to Wausau, WI in 1990. In addition to having two children, she enjoyed volunteering with many local non-profits. The Wausau Festival of Arts, the CVA to name a few. Nanci enjoyed teaching children’s art classes at the Center for the Visual Arts, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson and the Montessori schools in Wausau.
In 2009 Nanci and her son moved to Spring Green, WI, and then married Bobby. Nanci worked at the Spring Green Community Library, which she really enjoyed. Nanci joined several local artist groups. Nanci sold her artwork at “No Rules” Gallery, Spring Green and “The Red Door Gallery” in Richland Center, WI. Nanci was asked to become the manager at “The Red Gallery” in 2014.

There will be a “Life Celebration” in spring.
