Waupaca County sheriff’s report Dec. 18

Dec. 12 – An unknown caller requested extra patrol in her area as she heard someone shooting a firearm at midnight near her house. She thought it may be poachers.

• Dec. 12 – A Manawa man on High Street reported a white semi hauling grain smashed a stop sign and kept going.

• Dec. 12 – An Iola man on Pagel Road reported someone was tampering with his trail cameras and broke one of them.

• Dec. 12 – Wally World Tavern in Waupaca reported a man was trying to start a fight with a customer. He left the premise but came back repeatedly.

• Dec. 12 – An unknown caller requested a welfare check on an employee who called in sick. He made no sense on the phone and stated, “It’s getting rough there,” and then began talking about a dog.

• Dec. 12 – The Department of Health and Human Services requested an officer to visit a house concerning an endangered child case.

• Dec. 13 – An Oshkosh man reported he and his girlfriend left a bar. He urinated outside. She got mad about it. She screamed at him in the car and slammed on the brakes, throwing the man into the windshield and breaking it.

• Dec. 13 – A New London caller reported a man took his vehicle and stated he is not giving it back.

• Dec. 13 – A Fremont caller on County Trunk W reported two suspicious vehicles (a black car and a red Pontiac) on Marsh Road with their hazard lights on.

• Dec. 13 – An off-duty Weyauwega police officer reported a vehicle dragging a trailer or something that was shooting sparks.

• Dec. 13 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported people were trespassing on her land all the time, day and night.

• Dec. 14 – A New London caller on Sunset Lane reported the new neighbors almost hit her husband as they were doing donuts at the end of the road.

• Dec. 14 – ACR Repo reported they would be repossessing a 2014 Mazda CX5.

• Dec. 15 – A Waupaca caller on Bunker Road reported she and her husband had a bad fight. He left in a green KIA. She said he had not been drinking but was hungover.

• Dec. 15 – A Clintonville caller on Airport Road reported a fraud involving a pop-up screen requesting a money order.
• Dec. 15 – A New London caller on Ostrander Road reported he was thinking about killing himself.

• Dec. 15 – A Waupaca caller on William Drive reported her neighbor’s dogs ran after her and came into her yard.

• Dec. 15 – A New London woman on Hoffman Road reported her neighbor’s dogs came into her yard and attacked her dog.

• Dec. 15 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported the theft of $1.25 from a resident. They requested an officer to respond. There were no suspects.

• Dec. 15 – A Weyauwega caller on Wisconsin Street reported two suspicious men with their hoods up walked past her home taking pictures as if they were staking out her place. They kept looking back after walking past her house.

• Dec. 16 – A Weyauwega caller on County Trunk K reported his neighbor was pushing snow across the road and into his yard.

• Dec. 16 – A Waupaca caller on Alm Lane reported his wife trashed the house, knocked over the TV, threw clothing around and was being belligerent. She was possibly drinking.

• Dec. 16 – Sunset BP in Weyauwega reported a fuel drive-off valued at $42. It was a black truck with two snowmobiles in the back.

• Dec. 16 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk K reported someone trespassing on his neighbor’s land. They were playing around on a four wheeler.

• Dec. 17 – A Marion caller on Cedar Dam Road reported a man took her phone and returned it two days later without the SIM card. He returned the SIM card later damaged and melted.

• Dec. 18 – An Iola caller on Netzler Road requested a welfare check on a student that sent an email to a teacher stating he was better off not being there, that he was worthless and other things indicating mental health issues.

• Dec. 18 – A Big Falls caller on Main Street reported snowmobiles driving across her lawn.

• Dec. 18 – A Waupaca caller on Franklin Street reported the theft of her mother’s iPad.

• Dec. 18 – A New London caller on Collier Lane reported someone opened a credit card account in his name.

• Dec. 18 – A caller reported his ex-wife’s husband was not letting him leave during a child exchange and was physically restraining him from getting into a vehicle.

• Dec. 18 – A Waupaca caller on Cleghorn Road reported the death of an 88-year-old man who fell in the bathroom.
• Dec. 18 – Wally World Tavern in Waupaca reported a woman threw a water bottle at the bartender. The woman was kicked out but would not leave and was trying to get back into the bar.

• Dec. 18 – A Waupaca caller on Center Street reported a man who lives upstairs was intoxicated and he kept trying to come downstairs.

• Dec. 18 – An unknown caller requested a welfare check on a veteran having a mental breakdown. The veteran told the caller he was parked on railroad tracks.

• During this period there were very few deer-auto collisions. There were a high number of auto crashes, disabled vehicles and vehicles in the ditch from the recent heavy snowfall. One utility line was down, along with a few reports of trees blocking roadways. Four horses were reported running loose near Ogdensburg.
