Comets can’t keep up with Bulldogs

New London wins game in Waupaca

New London handed the Waupaca boys’ basketball team a 60-44 nonconference loss Dec. 20.

New London headed to the locker room at halftime with a 36-23 lead. The Comets eventually cut the lead to six points, but never got any closer.

Kyle Wisniewski and Ian Oberstadt led New London with 19 and 11 points, respectively. Henry Mouw led Waupaca with 15 points and Riley Bechard added 10.

Waupaca fell to 2-5, while the Bulldogs improved to 6-1.

Both teams have nonconference home games scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 3. New London will host Freedom, while Berlin will head to Waupaca.
