Waupaca County sheriff’s report Dec. 28

• Dec. 22- A Weyauwega woman on N. East Street reported hearing a loud noise and was afraid to look outside to see what it was.

• Dec. 22 – Canadian National railroad reported a cable on the train got loose and train cars would be blocking Reek Road and Manor Drive for 20 minutes.

• Dec. 22 – A female caller reported a woman hit her on the head and was bleeding. She was locked in the bathroom.

• Dec. 22 – A male caller requested a welfare check on his girlfriend who had been drinking and not answering her phone. He said she does not know where she is.

• Dec. 22 – A male caller reported a case of animal neglect. Some rabbits and birds did not have shelter in the cold weather.

• Dec. 23 – A Manawa man reported finding a lab mix tied to a park bench on a walking trail. The dog had been there overnight.

• Dec. 24 – A Shawano woman reported a custody dispute. It was her day to be with her daughter. She contacted her ex-husband and told him she would be 10 minutes late. His wife texted her back saying they left because she was 30 minutes late.

• Dec. 24 – Vintage Plus in Waupaca reported someone broke into their store overnight. The burglar made a hole in the door.

• Dec. 24 – A New London woman on Huntley Road was taking care of her mother and left, after asking her brother to clean the house. He sent a text message to her stating, “I will find you and shut your mouth up for good.”

• Dec. 24 – A Clintonville woman on Meadow Lane reported an intoxicated man broke a window on a 2008 Honda G6.

• Dec. 24 – There was a 911 call from a person on Alm Lane in Waupaca. Someone was saying, “Come help me.”

• Dec. 25 – An anonymous caller reported a Hispanic woman showed up at the caller’s address. The woman said she could not talk about what happened.

• Dec. 25 – A Waupaca woman on Shambeau Court reported hearing gunfire close to her residence.

• Dec. 25 – A Waupaca caller reported a man walking in the middle of the road heading toward Piggly Wiggly wearing a hat, a coat and blue jeans. The man told the caller he wants to die.

• Dec. 26 – A caller reported that a woman had been fraudulently using a man’s Securus account to make phone calls.

• Dec. 26 – A Scandinavia caller on N. Shore Drive reported the death of a 50-year-old man.

• Dec. 26- A Waupaca man on Melody Lane reported a person was calling him the “n-word” and told him, “You’re worthless.”

• Dec. 27 – An anonymous caller reported a young man approximately 16 to 18 years old was sitting in a gas station trying to get to Milwaukee. He said his father, “Wants nothing to do with him.”

• Dec. 27 – An unknown caller requested a check on a woman who was talking suicidal. She said she could go in the garage, turn on the car and it would be simple. The caller said the woman sounded drunk.

• Dec. 27 – A Waupaca man on County Trunk K reported someone broke into his garage and took an air compressor, a miter saw and other items.

• Dec. 27 – An Embarrass man on Bellvue Street reported the theft of his utility trailer.

• Dec. 27 – A Weyauwega man on Parker Street reported he came to get his daughter because her mother and the mother’s boyfriend were fighting. A female pushed a male to the ground.

• Dec. 28 – An unknown caller reported the death of her husband. She believed he died in his sleep. He was stiff and cold.

• Dec. 28 – Theda Care reported a patient called talking about suicidal ideations.

• Dec. 28 – A Manawa caller reported a man and woman fighting with a child in their apartment.

• Dec. 28 – An anonymous caller reported that a 97-yeard-old man was not being properly care for by his daughter-in-law. He was not being bathed or changed.

• Dec. 28 – A Waupaca caller on State Street requested a welfare check on his mother. She told him she was unhappy and was packing her things. She told him there were two options and said, “The first you won’t like.”

• Dec. 28 – ThedaCare requested a welfare check on a female patient they were unable to reach. She reported chest pains. Friends were unable to check on her. The patient was later found dead.

• Dec. 28 – A Manawa woman on N. Bridge Street reported her daughter came home intoxicated, hit her and made suicidal comments.

• There was a low number of deer-auto collisions. There were an extremely high number of auto crashes on Dec. 22 and there were many disabled vehicles and vehicles in the ditch around Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. A horse pulling an Amish buggy was reported running loose and jumping around in the middle of the road. Another caller reported he was trying to catch a different horse running down a different road. An intoxicated Waupaca woman was bitten by a friend’s dog but refused to inform ThedaCare the identity of the dog owner.
