Green, Ellen

Ellen Jacqueline (Hall) Green, also known as Shoeberg, age 82, of Clintonville, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and loved ones gone before her on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Aster Retirement Community in Clintonville, WI.

Ellen was born on May 18, 1940 in Chicago, IL to Orange (Jack) Vernon and Wilma Margaret (Brown) Hall. She graduated from Spalding High School in Chicago, IL. Ellen met her husband Maynard Solum Green at Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek in Wisconsin Dells, WI and they were united in marriage on June 24, 1961 at Zion Lutheran Church in Woodville, WI. Ellen treasured her family and spent many years filled with great joy while babysitting, caregiving and volunteering.

Ellen was a prayer warrior, her unceasing prayers sustained and saved many. She will always be remembered for her unconditional love. While never judging anyone and having a generous heart, she often gave away all that she had. Her warm and kind heart could be felt through her all-encompassing hugs. She was a trusting confidant that would lend an ear, in her home or on the telephone day or night, never being impositioned. Being hospitable, she opened her home to anyone, any time.

Ellen was always up for a road trip. She collected angels, loved her Coca-Cola, playing bingo, cards and board games. Her sense of humor was entertaining, her laugh was contagious and smile melted one’s heart.

She will be dearly missed by her loving and supportive family.
