The Wolf River Art League extends an open invitation for professional, non-professional and student artists to enter the Mid-Winter Art Show on Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 11 and 12, at Crystal Falls, 1500 Handschke Drive, New London.

The show is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days.

Artists enter oil, acrylic, pastel, photography, fiber, ceramic and wood works, as well as other media.

A professor from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay will judge the show. Categories include 2D, 3D and photography.

Cash and ribbon prizes are awarded. Art pieces may be priced for sale.

Artists may request an entry form and information by emailing [email protected] or calling 920-982-0168. They should provide their mailing information in a message.

Forms are also available at the New London Area Chamber of Commerce, located at 420 N. Shawano St.

Entry forms are due Feb. 1.

Artists deliver all pieces to Crystal Falls on Friday evening, Feb. 10.

This year the judge’s critique will return, and those who have entered can hear how the judge formed opinions and awarded prizes in each category.

Wolf River Art League provides art opportunities to the community and yearly student art scholarships. This art show is a major fundraiser for those scholarships, and although admission is free to the public, donations are appreciated.

The event is wheelchair friendly. A full menu is available at Crystal Falls.
