Waupaca County sheriff’s report Jan. 8

• Dec. 29 – A Weyauwega man on Third Avenue reported the death of his brother. The caller said it was cancer and he was beyond help.

• Dec. 29 – A New London woman on Ritchie Lane reported a juvenile was destroying property in his room.

• Dec. 29 – A Scandinavian man on County Trunk V requested a welfare check at a residence where the porch lights were flashing on and off. He thought it might be a signal of distress. He confirmed the lights were not Christmas decorations.

• Dec. 29 – A male caller reported a suspicious car parked along Foley Road. Two people were walking around there, coughing a lot and banging on trees with sticks.

• Dec. 29 – A Bear Creek man on Symco Road reported being sent death-threat messages by his ex-girlfriend’s father.

• Dec. 29 – The Pine Tree Supper Club reported a female customer left without paying $105.

• Dec. 29 – A Waupaca woman on Duvernick Lane reported her sister is leaving and was threatening her life for not wanting to leave. There was a physical fight. No ambulance needed.

• Dec. 29 – An Ogdensburg man on Campbell Lake Road reported the sound of two gunshots coming from behind his house in the woods.

• Dec. 30 – A Fremont woman on Edlund Lane requested a welfare check on a woman no one could get a hold of. Her car was in the garage, the TV was on and a package was at the door. The woman was later found dead.

• Dec. 30 – A Clintonville man on Laude Road reported he has video evidence of a man throwing glass bottles in his driveway.

• Dec. 30 – A Clintonville woman reported a man was shot. She was unsure of where he was shot. He was conscious and breathing.

• Dec. 31 – An Iola woman on County Trunk J reported a male was assaulting two people. Drinking was involved.

• Jan. 1 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a male resident was distributing marijuana to other residents. They all got high the day before.

• Jan. 1 – A Waupaca woman on Pryse Drive reported her daughter ran away. She took off toward Kwik Trip.

• Jan. 1. – A Fremont woman on State Highway 45 reported her ex-husband is showing people naked pictures of her.

• Jan. 2 – Weyauwega-Fremont High School reported a student in the bathroom potentially harming him or herself.

• Jan. 2 – Theda Care in Waupaca requested help in locating a man who left the ER with an IV in his left arm. Someone in a white truck picked him up.

• Jan. 2 – The Waupaca County Jail reported two inmates were kissing each other.

• Jan. 2 – The Wild Grape Wine Company in Evanswood Village Shops reported two people stole a $200 bottle of liquor and took off south in a newer four-wheel drive truck.

• Jan. 2 – A Waupaca woman on Fifth Street reported she was fighting with her boyfriend.

• Jan. 3 – An Iola man on Rustad Road reported he does not know here his wife is. He stated he was with her all day. He called her and she was not answering.

• Jan. 3 – A New London woman reported she was trying to get her autistic son to school. He has been physical in the past.

• Jan. 3 – An anonymous caller requested a welfare check on an intoxicated woman threatening to harm herself.

• Jan. 3 – An Iola woman on Kenwood Drive reported finding her mailbox filled with animal feces.

• Jan. 3 – A Waupaca woman on Edminister road reported the death of a 76-year-old man.

• Jan. 3 – A Waupaca man on North Washington Street reported potential squatters in a vacant house across the street. Someone closed the curtains and turned the furnace on.

• Jan. 3 – A Farmington woman stopped at the sheriff’s office to report a fraud involving property purchased in Grant County.

• Jan. 3 – A Clintonville man on 12th Street reported a snowplow took out a bunch of mailboxes.

• Jan. 4 – A Franklin man stopped by the sheriff’s office to report his mother was defrauded while she was in the hospital. Money was taken from her accounts and he knows the person who stole it.

• Jan. 4 – A man reported his son was trying to kill himself with a knife.

• Jan. 4 – Fulton BP reported an employee shut off the lights, locked up the store and emptied the cash registers.

• Jan. 4 – A Waupaca woman on Ferg Lane reported a woman was out of control and threatening a mother and saying she wants to die.

• Jan. 5 – A Weyauwega caller on White Lake Road reported the death of a mother that was on the process of being admitted to a hospice.

• Jane. 5 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk Q reported a check was stolen from her bank account.

• Jan. 5 – Waupaca Mobil on Fulton Street reported a hit-and-run. A gold Dodge Durango took off.

• Jan. 5 – An unknown caller reported a man was driving a 2010 black Cadillac Escalade with a firearm and making suicidal comments.

• Jan. 6 – A Waupaca woman on Raymond Drive reported 45-year-old woman was having a fight with her husband.

• Jan. 6 – A Clintonville man reported a garbage truck hit some utility lines and ripped two out of a house.

• Jan. 6 – A Clintonville man on County Trunk N reported buying concert tickets through PayPal that turned out to be fraudulent.

• Jan. 6 – An Iola woman on Grove Street reported a suspicious vehicle. When she closed her curtains, a parked truck drove off.

• Jan. 7 – A Waupaca woman on Berlin Street reported her neighbor kicked open her door and said there was a gas leak in the building and everyone needed to get out.

• Jan. 7 – Dollar General in Manawa reported three men tried to break in. One fled on a bike, the other two on foot.

• Jan. 7 – Northport Motors in New London reported a fraud. Someone got into their checkbook and cashed out $12,000 in California.

• Jan. 7 – A Clintonville man on Koeller Road reported someone broke into his shop through the back service door and a catalytic converter was missing.

• Jan. 7 – A Manawa woman on Progress Road reported she will be taking guardianship of a juvenile. She found out a person was threatening to kill her.

• Jan. 7 – A Waupaca woman on Willard Street reported someone was trying to break into her home. She was whispering and hard to understand.

• Jan. 7 – Sandbur Corners in Ogdensburg reported a fuel drive-off worth $72. The vehicle was a black Chevy Silverado.

• Jan. 7 – An Appleton man reported he left his Strikemaster electric auger in a parking lot. He went back and it was gone.

• Jan. 8 – A Stevens Point man reported he left his tailgate open while driving from State Highway 22 to State Highway 10 and lost a large amount of ice fishing equipment.

• Jan. 8 – Angler’s Bar in Fremont reported a fight broke out and a woman claimed to have a stun-gun in her purse.

• Many people called in controlled burns during this period. There were numerous deer-auto collisions. There were a high number of auto crashes on New Year’s Eve. A lost wiener dog named Macy was recovered. A loose pony was reported in a Marion front yard. A Waupaca woman on Williams Drive reported a dog chasing deer.
