Waupaca County sheriff’s report Jan. 15

• Jan. 9 – A Manawa caller on Bridge Street reported a juvenile got into an argument with the caller’s wife regarding a cellphone. The incident was physical. She called him crying.

• Jan. 9 – A Manawa caller reported a woman was drinking and driving around with an infant and a three-year-old child in the vehicle.

• Jan. 10 – A Marion caller reported a suspicious man dressed in all black carrying a hacksaw heading northbound on County Trunk D.

• Jan. 10 – A Marion caller on First Street reported two women have been drugging her for the past 24 months.

• Jan. 10 – Rawhide Youth Services reported damage to a building. There was a hole in the ceiling and light fixtures were broken.

• Jan. 10 – The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Secret Service with a person on interest.

• Jan. 10 – A New London caller on Dey Road reported a maroon Ford Explorer was not stopping for the school bus so the bus driver angled the bus into the oncoming lane to force the vehicle to stop.

• Jan. 10 – A Waupaca caller reported a white 2003 Pontiac GT with a black ice shanty strapped to the roof was speeding and “flew past him.”

• Jan. 10 – The Clintonville Police Department requested help at the high school. Two boys were in the office and stated that their father pulled a knife on them the night before and threatened to “shank them.”

• Jan. 10 – An unknown caller reported a woman had a knife at her bedside the night before and said it was hard for her not to kill herself.

• Jan. 10 – Portage County Sheriff’s Office requested a welfare check on a person who said he was “looking at a noose.”

• Jan. 11 – A Wild Rose caller requested a welfare check on a woman who has been living with her mother for the past month since they separated. He got a strange 2:30 a.m. text message from her where she stated she left work, she loved them and she had suicidal thoughts.

• Jan. 12 – A Fremont mcallern on State Highway 96 reported someone tried to open an account under his name at Chase Bank. They had his Social Security number. It was done online.

• Jan. 12 – A Waupaca caller on Amy Street reported her husband’s brown leather wallet was stolen.

• Jan. 12 – A New London caller on County Trunk W reported finding a bag of animal bones alongside the road.

• Jan 13 – A Fremont woman stopped by the sheriff’s office to report numerous incidents of domestic abuse.

• Jan 13 – An Iola caller on La Follette Street reported his 17-year-old son picked up a butcher knife and was making threatening comments.

• Jan. 13 – A female caller requested help. Someone took her dad’s phone and was going through it.

• Jan. 13 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported trespassers on her property were releasing gas into her house through holes in her roof and walls.

• Jan. 13 – A Waupaca man on Franklin Street reported a woman making threatening calls repeatedly.

• Jan. 13 – An Iola woman on Iola Street reported a restraining order violation. A man called her son in order to yell at her.

• Jan. 13 – A Weyauwega caller on Mill Street reported a man and woman were fighting.

• Jan. 14 – A Marion woman on Swamp Road reported her granddaughter tried to jump out of the car because she would not give her phone back to her. The granddaughter was screaming at her.

• Jan 14 – Subway in Manawa reported a house fire.

• Jan 14 – A Waupaca man on Sunny View Road reported his son received an envelope with two small plastic bags containing a white substance. His son did not order anything.

• Jan 14 – A Nekoosa man reported a neighbor had been trespassing on his property with a skid steer.

• Jan. 14 – Outagamie Sherriff’s Department requested assistance in Bear Creek with a person who saw a vehicle strike a sign. The person followed the vehicle to a dead end and confronted the driver. The situation was escalating.

• Jan. 14 – A New London caller reported the sound of gunfire or fireworks near his residence.

• Jan. 15 – An Embarrass man on Bellvue Street reported someone struck a power-line pole and bent a gas pipe the night before. Car parts were on the ground.

• Jan. 15 – A Waupaca caller on State Highway 54 requested help finding his stepdaughter. She was grounded but not at home.

• Jan. 15 – A caller reported his rear license plate was stolen.

• Jan. 15 – A Marion caller on Magolski Road reported he lost his 9mm M&P Smith and Wesson pistol. He thought he might have left it on the top of his truck. He provided the serial number.

• Jan 15. – A New London caller on Buelow Road reported a man and woman were having a physical fight.

• There were many people calling in controlled burns during this period. There were numerous deer-auto collisions. There was an above average number of traffic stops. Two loose cows were reported.
