Waupaca County sheriff’s report Jan. 22

• Jan. 16 – The Veterans Crisis Hotline requested a welfare check on a man threatening to harm himself.

• Jan. 16 – A Marion caller on Ramsdell Street reported he was allowing a person to keep items on his property. That person changed a lock and now he could not get into his shed.

• Jan. 16 – An out-of-state caller requested a welfare check on her sister who said she was fighting with her boyfriend and now looking for a gun. She wasn’t answering her phone.

• Jan. 16 – The Store in Manawa reported a male slumped over the steering wheel. When he tried to get out of the black Jetta, he could not walk and fell out of the vehicle.

• Jan. 16 – An unknown caller from a retail shop reported two suspicious people in a black Mercedes. The man used the restroom for 30 minutes and then asked about the ingredients of soaps and shampoos.

• Jan. 17 – An Iola man on State Highway 49 reported a fraudulent business check.

• Jan. 17 – A male caller reported that a 61-year-old woman overdosed on 10 clonazepam pills, a drug for treating seizures, panic disorder, and anxiety. He said she took them on purpose.

• Jan. 17 – A female caller reported the death of an elderly man. He was on the floor and stiff to the touch.

• Jan. 17 – An unknown caller reported his wife wants to kill herself and his daughter was holding her against the wall to keep her from harming herself.

• Jan 17 – A Waupaca woman on Virginia Drive reported an alarm was triggered and a voice was repeating, “Intruder! Intruder!”

• Jan. 17 – A Waupaca woman on Rural Road reported a suspicious dark-colored van parked for three hours with the lights on and engine running.

• Jan. 18 – A Waupaca man on Apple Tree Lane reported someone drove through his front lawn, going at least 60 feet onto his property.

• Jan. 19 – The office of Probation and Parole reported a person on the sex offender registry may have tampered with a GPS device.

• Jan. 19 – A New London caller on County Trunk O reported a woman was at his home and would not leave. The woman struck his wife and damaged property.

• Jan. 19 – A Waupaca woman on Berlin Street reported the sound of adults screaming, threatening and taunting children.

• Jan. 19 – A Fremont woman on Wolf River Drive reported a fraudulent Verizon account was opened in her name.

• Jan. 19 – Bethany Home in Waupaca reported a missing fentanyl patch and requested an officer.

• Jan. 19 – A Waupaca woman on Franklin Street reported a drunken, out-of-control and unwanted female was at her address and was not supposed to be according to the terms of her bond.

• Jan. 19 – A Clintonville man on Laude Road reported someone hit his mailbox.

• Jan. 19 – Rawhide Youth Services reported there was a fight at the school and a victim was sent to the emergency room.

• Jan. 19 – A Waupaca caller on Butternut Road reported their Beatles memorabilia was stolen.

• Jan. 19 – Family of Christ Assembly of God in Clintonville requested a welfare check on a man who said he had no food and no transportation to get food.

• Jan. 19 – Hunters Sports Bar in Readfield reported a suspicious blue Honda with a woman inside acting weird.

• Jan. 20 – Winnebago Sheriff’s Office requested a welfare check on a New London man who was depressed.

• Jan. 20 – A Waupaca woman on Anderson Road reported a person tried to apply for a credit card using her name.

• Jan. 20 – A Waupaca man on Pine Lane reported he purchased Corvette headlights through Venmo and did not receive the items.

• Jan. 20 – A female caller reported a male angler was dropped off at Lion’s Point to go fishing. He did not return and she was driving around looking for him.

• Jan. 20 – An unknown caller reported a man was harming himself by stabbing himself in the hand with a fork.

• Jan. 20 – A New London woman on Partridge Drive reported her 51-year-old son was threatening to kill himself. He had a pistol and he had been drinking a bottle of alcohol every day.

• Jan. 20 – ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca reported an overdose.

• Jan. 21 – A New London man on Greenfield Drive reported he purchased items on Facebook Marketplace for $100 and it was a scam.

• Jan. 21- A New London man on Gruetzmacher Road reported he followed the tracks of a trespasser and found some dumped fish.

• Jan. 21 – A New London woman on Stage Road reported someone gassed her house and that it happens every day.

• Jan. 22 – A Weyauwega woman on Alfred Street requested a welfare check on her mother who she hasn’t spoken to since Jan. 16. She visited her house and the doorknob was removed from the outside door.

• Jan. 22 – A New London caller on Hoffman Road reported a 61-year-old man was out of control. He pushed her and took the remote to the TV. The man had been drinking.

• There was a below average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. A New London woman was bitten by her cat.
