Waupaca County sheriff’s report Feb. 5
• Jan. 30 – An alarm was triggered at Family Dollar in Iola. There was broken glass.
• Jan. 30 – A cellphone caller reported smoke coming from a farm building while driving close to Stiebs Johnson Road.
• Jan. 30 – A Waupaca woman on Pineview Lane reported a case of debit card fraud.
• Jan. 30 – An Iola woman on Pine Street reported her daughter took some nude photographs and transmitted them through a cellphone. A person was sending messages threatening to post the images online.
• Jan. 30 – An unknown caller reported an 18-year-old female was threatening to commit suicide.
• Jan. 30 – A female caller reported her elderly parents received a phone call and the caller convinced her father to take $33,000 out of his bank account. Her father was now missing.
• Jan. 31 – An Iola woman on Chet Krause Drive reported a large man came into her house through a closet. She then stated that it was just a dream.
• Jan. 31 – An Ogdensburg woman on Drath Road reported a scam phone call regarding Medicare.
• Jan. 31 – Tower Mobil in Waupaca reported a possible case of employee theft.
• Jan. 31 – A young girl called 911. She said people were yelling and drinking beer but she insisted she did not need any help.
• Jan. 31 – A Waupaca man on Jensen Road reported he struck a pony and it was dead in the roadway. He was uninjured.
• Feb. 1 – A Waupaca man on Marion Lane reported the neglect of two dogs and a cat. He lived at the reported residence for eight months and the litter box was never changed.
• Feb. 1 – A Scandinavian man on Weinmann Road reported his snowmobile was stuck east of County Trunk Q.
• Feb. 1 – Wisconsin Child Protective Services reported a case of child abuse.
• Feb. 1 – An anonymous caller reported six neglected dogs staked outside on three-foot chains.
• Feb. 2 – A Fremont caller on Wisconsin Street reported a man and woman arguing.
• Feb. 2 – Go Riteway reported a tan van passed a stopped school bus while the lights were flashing and the safety sign was extended.
• Feb. 2 – A Fremont man on State Highway 110 reported he was at a storage unit and his ex-wife was not letting him remove his belongings.
• Feb. 2 – Fond du Lac County Sheriff Office requested a welfare check on a woman who was reported to be hysterical.
• Feb. 2 – A Fremont caller on Wolf River Drive reported a suspicious car parked in her driveway that was running and locked up.
• Feb. 2 – A Waupaca man on Raymond Drive reported his mother called him while he was driving. She said his wife was getting ready to leave and take the children. The caller said he did not like the person that was coming to pick up his wife.
• Feb. 2 – A Scandinavian woman on Rollofson Lake Road reported cars and trucks were on the lake and they were not supposed to be there.
• Feb. 3 – A New London caller on Jennings Road reported she wrote a check for $50 but upon reviewing her bank statement, it was changed to $800.
• Feb. 3 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported the theft a resident’s cigarettes.
• Feb. 3 – An unknown caller reported they were locked inside an area campground. The gates were open when they came in. Now they were locked.
• Feb. 3 – Advanced Collateral Recovery reported they will be repossessing a 2017 Kodiak.
• Feb. 3 – A Waupaca caller on Westgate Acres Road reported a person pulled a gun on her friend.
• Feb. 4 – A Waupaca caller on Lamplighter Lane reported a case of mail fraud involving the purchase of a coin from a man in Florida.
• Feb. 4 – A female caller requested a welfare check on a man living in a house with no heat. The pipes burst and collapsed half the ceiling. The house was unlivable. The daughter brought him to her house but he returned back to his home.
• Feb. 4 – A New London caller on East Washington Street reported she was outside her house and having an argument with her husband.
• Feb. 4 – A Waupaca caller on Bags Hill Road reported Target in Ohio sent her a credit card she did not request.
• Feb. 4 – An Iola caller on County Trunk J reported her dog kennel was stolen while she was out of town.
• Feb. 4 – A female caller reported that an 29-year-old woman was making suicidal comments via text messages.
• Feb. 4 – Hunters Sports Bar in Readfield reported a man passed out behind the wheel in a Chevy Astro van. There was a can of beer in the vehicle. The caller opened the door and the man did not wake up.
• Feb. 4 – A Manawa man on Grove Street reported a woman was driving a snowmobile while intoxicated between Symco and Manawa.
• Feb. 5 – An Ogdensburg caller on Water Street reported her sister sent a picture of herself with a small handgun to her head.
• Feb. 5 – An Iola woman on Wolf River Road reported suspicious activity at a bank. A maroon Jeep pulled up to the ATM and took off when she turned in. A black Trailblazer followed her and took off with spinning tires.
• A caller reported a loose Corgi eating a dead deer along the road. Two bald eagles eating a dead rabbit in the road were reported. Two horses were reported running loose near Hilltop Road. Sheep were reported loose on Gurholt Road. There were numerous deer-auto collisions during this period.
