Rice leads Warhawks to win

Weyauwega-Fremont defeats Iola-Scandinavia

Weyauwega-Fremont handed Iola-Scandinavia a 70-35 loss Feb. 3 in a matchup of Central Wisconsin Conference-East boys’ basketball teams.

Jaden Rice scored 17 of his game-high 26 points in the first half that helped the Warhawks take a 36–14 halftime lead.

Weyauwega-Fremont then outscored the Thunderbirds 34-21 in the second half.

Ethan Marquette added 11 points for the Warhawks, while Ian Koss led Iola-Scandinavia with 11.

Both teams have CWC-East games scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 9. Iola-Scandinavia will head to Shiocton for a rescheduled game with the Chiefs, while Weyauwega-Fremont will host Menominee Indian.
