Neuville, Catherine

Cathy Neuville, age 65, passed into eternal life on Saturday, January 28, 2023.

She was surrounded by family during her last days in the hospital, and died peacefully in the evening.

Cathy was a proud graduate of Appleton West High School. She enjoyed Special Olympics bowling and softball. In adulthood, she enjoyed water aerobics at the YMCA.

She worked in food service throughout her life, most recently over 20 years at Burger
King. She loved the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Milwaukee Bucks. She could be a little salty after a Packer loss, but lived to see many exciting wins. She loved cats and had pet cats until her mobility made caring for them too difficult. Cathy consistently took pictures with her Polaroid camera over the years. She left a legacy of our family’s life in photographs. Cathy had an incredible memory for names and dates and was an excellent resource for reminiscences. She was a faithful member of St. Mary and then St. Therese Catholic churches.

Cathy is survived by her father, Louis Neuville (Kitty), her sisters and brothers Julie Eidem, Monica Rathsack (Patrick), Ted Neuville (Patty), Peter Neuville (Michele), Joe Neuville, and Tracy Karabelas (Chris). She was a Godmother to her niece, Amanda Anderson and aunt to Laura Eidem (Alex Jacobson), Karen Ruhl (Matt), Amanda Anderson (Hunter), Holly Herrling (Austin), Brenna Van Rooy (Alex), Cammy Mompier (Nick), Daniel (Jessica), Carlene, and Elizabeth Neuville, Ryan (Megan), Connor, Kyle (fiancee Mollie), and Riley Neuville, Dimitri and Alex Karabelas. She also had many great nieces and nephews. Cathy was preceded in death by her mother, Theresa Neuville, and two nephews, Tyler Rathsack and Andrew Neuville.

A Memorial Service for Cathy will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at SAINT THERESE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 213 E Wisconsin Ave, Appleton with Fr. Ryan Starks officiating. Friends may visit from 12 NOON until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Appleton.

The family thanks all of the people and organizations in Cathy’s life who helped her to be self-determined and independent, including her many friends and neighbors at Randall Court Apartments. The family would also like to thank the third floor staff at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital who were so kind and patient with Cathy and her many siblings during Cathy’s final days.
