Waupaca County sheriff’s report Feb. 12

• Feb. 6 – Crossroads Care in Weyauwega reported a verbal argument between a man and a nurse practitioner.

• Feb. 6 – A Fremont man on Klemp Road reported someone took out a loan in his name.

• Feb. 6 – A Manawa woman on Grove Street requested help getting her ex-boyfriend to leave after a two-day stay.

• Feb. 6 –The Very Limited LLC in Iola reported getting a worthless check.

• Feb. 6 – An unknown caller at a local business reported that an intoxicated man stole a pack of cigarettes after his card was declined and was on the north side of the building having a smoke.

• Feb. 6 – A Manawa man on Grove Street reported a female might have overdosed by taking all of her anti-anxiety medications.

• Feb. 7 – A caller reported someone illegally dumped tires on his land.

• Feb. 7 – The Clintonville Police Department reported a 34-year-old woman took a bunch of pills and was homicidal and suicidal.

• Feb. 7 – A Manawa woman on County Trunk O reported someone dropped off a culvert on her land and she doesn’t know to whom it belonged. She advised the township and they had no idea, either.

• Feb. 7 – An anonymous caller provided an address where two boys lived. The older one was hitting the younger one and he had bruises.

• Feb. 7 – A cell phone caller reported a man in a gray sweatshirt was walking on the grass along Fulton Street with a bottle of booze. He was worried he might wander into traffic.

• Feb. 7 – A bus driver with the Weyauwega-Fremont School District reported a suspicious white cargo van.

• Feb. 7 – A Rhinelander woman reported being concerned about her grandchildren and did not know where they were. She said her daughter was “bouncing around from house to house.”

• Feb. 7 – An Iola woman on Frogner Street requested to speak to an officer. She said she had PTSD and it was bothering her.

• Feb. 7 – A New London caller on Stage Road reported a suspicious silver Camry sitting along the road.

• Feb. 8 – A New London man on Cut Off Road reported a stolen check.

• Feb. 8 – A Waupaca woman on Pryse Road reported a juvenile runaway. The youth went to school but the school called and someone reported the person as sick.

• Feb. 8 – A Waupaca woman on Christmas Tree Lane reported her husband was missing.

• Feb. 9 – A Waupaca woman on State Highway 54 reported a juvenile runaway who left during the night.

• Feb. 9 – A Fremont man on Lincoln Street reported he was pulled over by an Outagamie officer because he had expired plates and was now being harassed.

• Feb. 9 – An anonymous caller reported a man on an ATV riding around with two or three small children with no helmets.

• Feb. 9 – A Fremont woman on Brehmer Road reported a dark vehicle with blacked-out windows was “scoping out the house.”

• Feb. 9 – An unknown caller reported a man who said he was going to take his life. He was planning on taking some pills. He also had a knife.

• Feb. 10 – A Waupaca woman on Lake Street reported that a male student at the high school was saying concerning things. He said he “builds assault rifles” and he showed her pictures of guns. He was bullied and didn’t have many friends.

• Feb. 10 – A Manawa woman on Riverview Drive reported two portable ice fishing shanties were stolen from the millpond. One was her son’s shelter; the other was his friend’s.

• Feb. 10 – A Waupaca man on Wesley Street reported hearing a man screaming “Help me” towards Harrison Street. A dog was barking loudly as well.

• Feb. 10 – A Weyauwega man on W. Main Street reported two females fighting and screaming.

• Feb. 10 – A Waupaca man on Granite Street reported a man was dealing with recent mental health issues and he drove while extremely intoxicated, crashed into his ice fishing shack and blew out his transmission.

• Feb. 11 – An unknown caller reported a woman with bipolar disorder was having a psychological episode. She told her husband she was going to the emergency room for help but he suspected she might not go there.

• Feb. 11 – A Bear Creek man on Hickory Road reported a man wearing snow camouflage was in a red Chevy truck parked in the middle of the road with a rifle sticking out the window and attempting to shoot a coyote.

• Feb. 11 – Gold Cross Ambulance requested officer assistance in sedating an agitated patient.
• Feb. 11 – A Waupaca man on Homes Road reported a restraining order violation. A woman was harassing him.

• Feb. 11 – An anonymous caller reported five children were living in a camper out in the woods. There was no running water and electricity was run from a neighbor’s house. They went to the bathroom in a bucket.

• Feb. 12 – A Fremont woman on Wolf River Drive reported a man sleeping on the roadway in front of his truck.

• Feb. 12 – A Waupaca man on Mill Street reported he broke up with a woman and she messaged him saying that she was going to kill herself. He attempted to contact her but her phone was turned off.

• Feb. 12 – A Waupaca woman reported her mailbox and the mailboxes of three of her neighbors were knocked down. There were no vehicles parts around.

• Feb. 12 – A Fremont man on Washington Street reported there was someone outside by his son’s house acting crazy. He was worried the person was high and might overdose.

• Feb. 12 – A cell phone caller reported a car was completely engulfed in flames. It was off the roadway and the passengers were out of the car.

• Feb. 12 – A New London man on Kanaman Road reported a case of littering.

• Feb. 12 – A Waupaca man on Glenvale Court reported an intoxicated woman was “flipping out.” There were no injuries or weapons involved.

• There were an above average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. A large number of residents called in controlled burns. A Seymour woman reported being bitten by a dog. A caller reported a yellow Labrador retriever “took himself on a walk.” A Fremont woman reported a loose horse in the road and was struggling to round it up.
