Loehrke, Robert (Bob)

On February 24, 2023, our Lord and Savior called Robert (Bob) Loehrke, 60, of Appleton, home to Him.

While his death leaves an unexpected hole in the lives of those left behind, we find comfort in knowing Bob’s parents, brothers and other family were waiting in heaven with the cribbage board and sheepshead cards when he arrived.

Bob was born on March 31, 1962 to the late Eldor and Eileen (Anthony) Loehrke. He grew up on a dairy farm and attended Weyauwega schools, Fox Valley Technical College and UW-Oshkosh. He worked at Weyauwega Milk Products and Presto Products in Weyauwega and Appleton. Bob retired from Presto in 2018 after 29 years of service. He continued to work part-time in the bakery department at Festival Foods in Neenah until the time of his passing.

Bob will always be remembered for his sense of humor and quick comebacks. Bob loved spending time with his family, especially treasuring time with his nieces and nephews and their kids. He was always ready to lend a hand when needed and to play a game of cribbage or sheepshead. He loved coffee and his family knew to have a pot brewing if he was stopping by. Bob always had fresh baked brownies or chocolate chip cookies on his counter.

Bob leaves behind a brother, Bill (Ann) Loehrke and a sister, Vicki (Ken) Koerner; his nieces and nephews and their families: Melanie (John) Lendosky, Justin (Katie) Loehrke, Kerry (Chad) Forrest, Michael Loehrke Jr., Kendra (Nate) Collar and Kara Koerner and aunts, uncles and many cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Loehrke and sisters-in-law Juli Loehrke and Nancy Loehrke, along with his infant brother Kelvin.

To honor Bob’s wishes, no funeral services will be held. The family would love to have those that knew Bob to share a story or memory about Bob on the Tribute Wall on the Valley Funeral Home Website.

You will be missed Bob, more than you know or would want us to tell you!
