Waupaca County sheriff’s report March 6

• Feb. 27 – A Manawa caller on Mountain Lake Road reported a tree fell into the power lines.

• Feb. 27 – A Manawa caller on Zabel Road reported the death of a 3-4 month-old child who had flu-like symptoms.

• Feb. 27 – A Waupaca caller on Center Street reported someone tried to break through a door and drove off in a light-colored Jeep Cherokee.

• Feb. 27 – A Manawa man on Much Road reported his roommate was very intoxicated, threw him to the ground and “laid hands” on him.

• Feb. 27 – A New London man on Allcan Road reported a tree crashed into a power line.

• Feb. 27 – A cell phone caller reported a tree touching a power line and was arcing and sparking.

• Feb. 27 – An anonymous caller reported a very bright orange flashing light near a mailbox by Granite Quarry Road. He said he drove this route everyday for years and had never seen this.

• Feb. 27 – A Waupaca man on Waupaca Street reported a woman was screaming in his driveway and banging on his windows.

• Feb. 27 – A cell phone caller reported a tree contacted a power line and was arcing and sparking.

• Feb. 28 – An anonymous caller reported that a 59-year-old woman was agitated and in the past the woman has made suicidal comments and has taken a handful of pills. She also mentioned a gun.

• Feb. 28 – A Marion man on County Trunk S reported a house fire.

• March 1 – A New London man on Buelow Road reported someone struck his mailbox.

• March 1 – A Manawa man reported an alcoholic man with a personality disorder was drinking when he should not have been drinking. He was delusional and believed that his father had cameras watching him.

• March 1 – A Waupaca woman on Lind Road reported a suspicious white RAV4 parked near her property at the same time for the past two nights. There was someone in the vehicle.

• March 2 – The Corner Express in Embarrass reported a gas drive-off valued at $38. The vehicle was a blue Grand Am.

• March 2 – A Waupaca man on Raymond drive reported his neighbor’s dog continues to defecate on his lawn.

• March 3 – A Waupaca woman on Pryse Drive reported her neighbor’s dog being aggressive. The dog had her cat in its mouth. The cat was now up in a tree.

• March 3 – A female caller reported he received a call from her son’s social worker who said her son was intending to hang himself with a pair of shoelaces. The social worker was unable to contact the son over the weekend.

• March 3 – A cell phone caller reported a possible sex-related offense. The caller reported two trucks were parked at a location for two weeks, during the day and overnight.

• March 3 – A Waupaca woman on Ferg Lane requested help getting her children from her ex’s house. She had a restraining order against him but it had not been served yet. She feared something might happen.

• March 4 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile ran away 23 minutes earlier wearing blue jeans, a black leather jacket and leather boots.

• March 4 – A Scandinavia man on Chapel Drive reported a suspicious pickup truck drove slowly down Chapel Drive towards County Trunk G. He heard two gunshots.

• March 4 – A Clintonville man on Kratzke Road reported a suspicious dark-colored vehicle a quarter mile away from his house sitting there with its lights off.

• March 4 – Bear Creek Citgo reported a gas drive-off valued at $36. The vehicle was a Grand Am spray painted a bluish color.

• March 5 – An Ogdensburg man on County Trunk E went to purchase a dirt bike from a man. The man threatened him and slapped his hands on the hood of his vehicle.

• March 5 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile was off the property and refusing to come back.

• March 5 – A Weyauwega woman on County Trunk X reported her roommate drove home in a white KIA and almost struck her niece. She wanted her roommate removed from the premise.

• March 5 – A Waupaca man on Shadow Road reported someone struck his mailbox and drove off. He had a video of it.

• There were an average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. There was an above average number of traffic stops. There was a massive surge of residents calling in controlled burns. A New London caller reported an aggressive Rottweiler invading a sheep pen. An unknown caller reported being bitten by a stray cat. A Waupaca woman reported a raccoon was on her deck and unwilling to leave. Two beef cows were reported loose in Scandinavia. ThedaCare in Wild Rose reported a person was bitten by their own dog.
