Waupaca County sheriff’s report March 12

• March 6 – An Iola man on Lund Road reported his social security number was stolen and a person used it to procure a bank credit card.

• March 6 – A Waupaca caller on Lind Center Road reported damaged fencing by a hit-and-run driver.

• March 6 – An Appleton woman reported she had video of a person kicking in the door of their shed. Nothing was missing.

• March 6 – A New London man on Hoffman Road reported that while he was in the hospital two women foraged a check.

• March 6 – Econolodge in Waupaca reported people were fighting in a guest room.

• March 7 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile assaulted another youth and a staff member the previous night.

• March 7 – A Clintonville man on Harrison Avenue reported a friend text messaged him with suicidal comments. He mentioned “chewing on the end of a barrel of a gun,” and he asked to let his mom know about this.

• March 7 – An Iola woman reported witnessing a hit-and-run involving a light blue sports utility vehicle.

• March 7 – A Waupaca man on State Highway 54 reported a silver minivan along the road. A man and woman were in front of the vehicle and the woman was poking the man in the chest with her finger.

• March 7 – An assault was reported at the Waupaca County Jail.

• March 7 – A Clintonville woman on North Main Street requested a welfare check on a man who was posting on Facebook while drinking. The man who was posting said he was going to kill himself.

• March 8 – An anonymous caller requested extra patrol in Northport. A gray pickup with black fenders, no tailgate and no license plates was racing up and down Broadway and Ferry Streets with a loud exhaust and running stop signs.

• March 8 – An anonymous caller reported a woman was screaming and making suicidal comments. She made comments that she was going to use a knife.

• March 8 – A Weyauwega man on Military Road reported bullet holes in his roof. He did not know when the bullets were fired.

• March 8 – An anonymous caller requested extra patrol on Kratzke and Golf Course Road. Drivers were speeding and running stop signs.

• March 8 – BK Trucking reported an oversized load would be passing through on State Highways 54, 10 and 22. They were hauling a 25-foot wide fiberglass mold.

• March 8 – A Weyauwega woman on Second Street reported her husband was going to grab her by the throat and “show her what it’s like to lose control.” He threatened to hurt the children and the woman left with them.

• March 8 – Rawhide Youth Services reported two runaways and another juvenile who broke three windows.

• March 9 – A Marion woman stopped by the sheriff’s office to report she knew of two men who were stealing catalytic converters in the area.

• March 9 – A Waupaca woman on Ashley Court reported the death of a 72-year-old man.

• March 9 – A Manawa man on Wolf Road reported that a man he knew was stealing diesel. There were tire tracks in the snow and boot prints next to the pump.

• March 9 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported $22 was missing.

• March 9 – A Waupaca woman on Pine Lane reported a smashed mailbox and a damaged garbage bin.

• March 10 – A Waupaca man from West Gate Acres reported a woman sent him a pornographic photo in Feb. 23.

• March 10 – Dollar General in Embarrass reported they were missing $950.

• March 10 – A Fremont woman on East Street reported a woman left in a red Impala and said she was going to crash her car into something and kill herself.

• March 10 – A Waupaca man on Nancy Lane reported he received a Capital One credit card in the mail and his credit report indicated he applied for one. He did not.

• March 10 – A Waupaca man on Granite Quarry Road reported a man was at the end of the driveway threatening people inside the house.

• March 11 – A Marion man on State Highway 45 reported his catalytic converter was stolen. There were fresh tracks in the snow.

• March 11 – A Waupaca woman on Otter Drive reported a fraud involving a letter from a bank for a Play Station Visa account.

• Match 11 – A female caller reported she was defrauded out of $2,000 through a cash app.

• March 11 – A Fremont man on County Trunk H reported a hit-and-run involving an intoxicated woman.

• March 11 – A Manawa caller on Walnut Street reported his father was extremely intoxicated and belligerent and threatened to burn down the caller’s house.

• March 11 – A Waupaca man on Miner Drive reported an intoxicated woman being verbally abusive. She has made suicidal threats in the past.

• March 12 – An Ogdensburg man on Campbell Lake Road said a woman showed up at his house. She was hurt and stated her husband mentally abused her.

• March 12 – A Scandinavia man on Rollofson Lake Road reported he was scammed out of $1,000 while trying to put money down on a vehicle he found online.

•There were an average number of deer-auto collisions during this period. There was a large number of auto crashes and vehicles stuck in the ditch from the recent snowfall,

including a stuck school bus. Very few residents called in controlled burns. ThedaCare in Waupaca reported a dog bit an Amazon deliver driver and two days later, a neighbor’s dog bit another woman. Berlin Hospital reported a dog bit an insurance inspector. A loose horse was reported near State Highway 54. A loose cow was reported on County Trunk E in Weyauwega. A black cow was reported walking down the road in Ogdensburg.
