Heimbruch, Louis W. “Bucky”

With heavy hearts, we sadly announce our beloved brother, uncle and friend passed away on March 10, 2023 at the age of 68.

After residing in Trempealeau County for many years, our prayers were finally answered when he was transferred to Centennial Inn- Oshkosh. Bucky was raised in the Sugar Bush area. The oldest of five children of Louis A. and Shirley (Handrich) Heimbruch. Bucky attended New London Schools, graduating with the class of 1973. Following high school graduation, Bucky entered the work force. He spent most of his working life in the construction industry. Bucky did just about everything-from laboring, to operating equipment, to truck driving. Bucky was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was truly a builder. Bucky was most proud of the home he built for himself, with the help of family and friends. He taught and mentored many throughout his life. Bucky was an avid sportsman, loving hunting and fishing. He was particularly proud of bagging a large black bear. He was a motorcyclist and a car enthusiast, owning a “pride and joy” Corvette. Bucky had a way of lighting up a room with just a smile- a happy man, who only wanted others to share in his happiness. He was always the kind to buy a round of drinks. Generosity was his best characteristic. Bucky maintained his bachelorhood, because he preferred being a lady’s man!

Left to remember Bucky are his siblings, Linda (Russ) Schroeder, Bruce (Sandy) Heimbruch, Cheryl (Randy) Henn and Steve (Amy) Heimbruch; nieces and nephews, Amy (Bobby) Welsh, Angela Schroeder, Craig Schroeder, Bruce Jr. “B.J. Heimbruch (significant other, Christie Breen), Matthew (Grace) Heimbruch, Chad Henn, Brad (Allie) Henn, Logan Heimbruch, Luke Heimbruch (special friend, Sidney Otto), and McKenna Heimbruch. Bucky is further survived by many relatives and friends.

Bucky was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Memorial Service for Bucky will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Pastor Eric Holmgren officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. His final resting place will be at Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf.

The family extends much gratitude and heartfelt thanks to Centennial Inn-Oshkosh and Compasses Hospice for their outstanding care, compassion, smiles and laughter in his final days.
