Rogers, Betty

Betty J. Rogers, age 89 of Clintonville, passed away early Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at The Pines Post-Acute & Memory Care, Embarrass.

Betty Jane Rogers (nee Pufahl), was born October 27, 1933 in Clintonville, WI, as the only daughter to the late Herbert E. & Ruth A. (Hanson) Pufahl. She grew up on the family farm and attended Clintonville Schools, later graduating with the class of 1950. Betty worked at Urban Telephone and Lauer Law Office for a time. She was united in marriage to Joel L. Rogers on May 5, 1951 in Waukegan, IL. The family moved to different places all over the country because of Joel’s career with the U.S. Border Patrol. In 1978, Betty started work with Rosemount Electronics out of Minneapolis; where she was a manager. She retired after nearly ten years with the company, and moved back to the family farm near Clintonville. Betty was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and had a passion for charities involving children and animals. In her free time, she enjoyed target shooting with handguns, shopping at Wal-Mart, and spending time driving her Amish friends around as needed. Betty was a self-proclaimed “stubborn German woman,” who loved her independence, but was the most loving, loyal wife, mother, & grandmother.

Betty is survived by her children: Rodney “Butch” (Beth) Rogers, Clintonville; Sherry (Jack) Kramer, Shiocton; Judy (Mike) Lundberg, Beresford, SD; & Barry (Mary) Rogers, Marion
10 grandchildren & 21 great-grandchildren
A special cousin: Alice Rohban, Milwaukee
Along with her canine companion: Buckwheat

She was preceded in death by her parents & her husband, Joel L. Rogers.
