Lucille D. Schmidt, of Ogdensburg, age 90, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Thedacare Medical Center- Waupaca.
Lucille was born on July 8, 1932 in Waupaca, daughter of the late Homer & Bessie (Hanson) Elkins. Lucille was united in marriage on August 14, 1954 to Edward Schmidt at Sheridon Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Lucille was employed at Hillshire for several years where she retired. Lucille’s hobbies were traveling, family gatherings, and socializing.
She is survived by 2 daughters: Marsha (Melvin) Hansen, New London; Gail Burlingham, Ogdensburg; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Eric) Daggett, Greenville; Shannon (Kelly) Hansen, New London; Blaine (Kalie) Hansen, Ogdensburg; Kortney Burlingham and special friend Diesel, Waupaca; Landon (Alissa) Burlingham, Twin Cities; 8 great-grandchildren: Alayna Daggett, Reid Daggett, Taylor Hart, Savanna Hansen, Adalynn Hansen, Brantley Hansen, Kolt Hansen, Bryson Clinton. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive her.
Her husband, parents, and 4 siblings preceded her in death.
The memorial service for Lucille that will celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Symco with Rev. Jeffrey Smiles officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
