Father, son found in Florida
New London police report that Chason and Jason Moore were located in St. Petersburg, Florida, on Tuesday morning.
They had been reported missing since 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 20.
According to police, Jason Moore approached an officer in St. Petersburg and asked for directions to his daughter’s house.
The officer ran the vehicle and Chason’s name through the National Crime Information Center database and saw that the New London police were looking for them.
St. Petersburg police took custody of 12-year-old Chason, who was reunited with his adult sister in St. Petersburg.
Chason is safe and unharmed and will be returned to Wisconsin with his mother.
At this time there has been no arrest in this case.
New London police will review the case with the district attorney’s office.
