Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 16

• April 10 – The Clintonville Police Department reported a man wearing an orange shirt walking down the median and waving his hat.

• April 10 – A Clintonville woman on Elmdale Road reported a hysterical two-year-old girl locked in a vehicle.

• April 10 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported one resident struck another and gave him a black eye.

• April 10 – Rawhide Youth services reported one juvenile assaulted another.

• April 10 – An unknown caller reported that some boats were not obeying the slow/no-wake rule on the Wolf River.

• April 10 – An anonymous caller reported neighbors screaming at each other and provided the address.

• April 10 – An anonymous woman reported she was beaten up by her boyfriend and was driving to her mother’s residence with three children.

• April 11 – A Fremont man on County Trunk W reported a suspicious black SUV parked sideways with its lights off and blocking the entrance of the school.

• April 11 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for a 74-year old man who was dehydrated from vomiting. He was diabetic and had a history of heart problems.

• April 11 – A New London man on Shawano Street reported there was an elderly woman who seemed lost and confused and was trying to get into his home.

• April 11 – A Manitowoc man reported a neglected vicious Rottweiler not being provided food and water.

• April 11- A Waupaca caller on Raymond Drive reported he was arguing with his wife. He was outside and she was inside the house.

• April 11 – A female caller reported she was being tailgated by a white Ford SUV and the driver appeared to be on the phone. A child was not in the car seat.

•April 11 – A 911 caller reported a suicidal man who was threatening not to take his diabetic medications.

• April 11 – A Fremont man on Pines Road reported two dogs coming onto his property. It has been happening for years.

• April 11 – A Weyauwega caller on Lake Street reported observing multiple people bowfishing. He believed the season begins April 21.

• April 12 – Marion Police Department reported a “jittery” man walking down the road trying to hitchhike.

• April 12 – A Waupaca caler on Murray Lane reported a woman made comments about ending her life the day before and that her mother was driving her to commit suicide.

• April 12 – Kolbe Vinyl Windows reported a woman was refusing to leave the facility after being told to go home. She wasn’t acting right because of possible mental issues.

• April 12 – A Waupaca caller on Feathers Court reported her niece’s ex-boyfriend threatened to kill her.

• April 12 – A Waupaca man on Catherine Way reported an outbuilding on fire.

• April 12 – An Iola man on County Trunk J reported a man that had been posting suicidal comments on Facebook for the past three days.

• April 12 – A Scandinavia woman on Jensen Road reported being harassed by her ex-boyfriend. She has blocked all contact with him and now he was trying to get a hold of her through her sister.

• April 12 – A cell phone caller reported a grassfire under some pine trees.

• April 12 – A 911 caller reported a fire in a field near Gurholt Road.

• April 12 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home reported a resident struck another resident and gave him a bloody nose.

• April 13 – A Clintonville caller reported her landlord showed up unannounced. She was home alone and did not feel safe.

• April 13 – A Clintonville caller on Airport Road reported he sold a vehicle on Craigslist and was informed by his bank that the check was not valid.

• April 13 – A Waupaca woman on Smith Lane reported a case of identity theft.

• April 13 – The Wisconsin DNR reported someone may be starting grassfires in the northwest corner of the county. There were five individual fires in the area. They requested extra patrol.

• April 13 – Portage County Sheriff Department reported a couple grassfires. A person gave them a license plate number.

• April 13 – An Iola man on Oak Ridge Drive reported a dog on his property that was an ongoing problem.

• April 13 – Northwoods Sausage in New London reported a suspicious white car in the parking lot with no plates. The driver left it the day before and said he would be back the next morning to get it.

• April 13 – An Iola man on Water Street reported his neighbor showed up with a knife.

• April 13 – Portage County Sheriff Department followed a motorcycle going over 100 mph and they stopped pursuit at the county line.

• April 13 – A child called and reported that her parents were fighting.

• April 14 – A Marion caller on Herzberg Road reported someone entered their house at 12:45 a.m. The caller thought it was her husband and her husband thought it was her. Nothing was taken. Her husband saw lights outside.

• April 14 – A homeless caller reported a man she met on a dating site might want to take advantage of her. She believed he was on probation.

• April 14 – An unknown caller reported a boat was tied up to one of his No Trespassing signs.

• April 14 – A Weyauwega caller on County Trunk X reported her neighbor was upset because he thinks she called the cops on him.

• April 14 – A Weyauwega caller on Behnke Road reported she gave a person money via Pay Pal to purchase a puppy through Facebook and then realized it was a scam.

• April 14 – A Waupaca caller on Pebble Run Road reported there were people coming to her door, rattling the doorknob and ringing the doorbell.

• April 14 – A Waupaca woman on Foley Drive reported vehicles drive past her house multiple times a day going 90 mph and not stopping for stop signs.

• April 15 – A Green Bay caller reported that both a man and woman were on probation and were drinking, doing drugs and driving without a license.

• April 15 – A Weyauwega woman on Sunset Court reported two suspicious unoccupied vehicles that had been sitting there for a long time.

• April 15 – A female caller reported witnessing a hit-and-run on the Sturgeon Trail parking lot. A red Dodge Ram hit a black Nissan Rogue.

• April 15 – Marathon gas station in Waupaca reported two women yelling at each other. Some pushing was involved.

• April 15 – A male caller reported there were five boys on the Sturgeon Trail trying to catch a sturgeon with nets.

• April 15 – An anonymous caller reported he was 18 years old, autistic and his father would not let him leave the house.

• April 15 – A Neillsville caller reported his white Ford F150 crew cab truck was stolen at a boat landing.

• April 15 – An Iola caller on Anna Lane reported a side-by-side UTV was tearing up the shoulder of the road.

• April 15 – An Ogdensburg woman on Murray Road reported a female was screaming, crossing herself, and said she heard voices and saw ghosts.

• April 15 – A New London woman on Bean City Road reported a man stated he was going to kill himself.

• April 15 – A Waupaca caller on Churchill Street reported her sister is in an abusive situation and her niece called her to pick her up.

• April 16 – A Clintonville caller on County Trunk Y reported she was feeling suicidal and felt like she needed an ambulance. She was drinking and she took a lot of antipsychotic pills.

• There were a low number of deer-auto collisions during this period. There were 12 reports of illegal burning. A cell phone caller requested help with her dog that was stuck and sinking in a marsh. There were two anonymous tips about neglected dogs. Loose horses were reported running in the roadway. A turtle was assisted in safely crossing the road.
