Waupaca County sheriff’s report April 29

• April 24 – A Bear Creek man on State Highway 22 reported his debit card was stolen. He cancelled it but now had a letter from a bank in Antigo that his checking account was overdrawn by $1,200.

• April 24 – Canadian National Railroad reported a rail crossing did not activate when a train passed through and a technician will be there within an hour to fix it.

• April 24 – A Weyauwega man on Frontage Road reported his neighbor was harassing him on the phone about his dog going onto the neighbor’s property.

• April 24 – An unknown caller reported the repossession of a red 2008 Ford F150.

• April 24 – A male caller reported a suspicious woman in her 20s in a pink sweatshirt and white sweat pants walking along the road.

• April 24 – A Waupaca caller on Woodland Circle reported a large SUV on her lawn with the headlights on. A male was passed out inside.

• April 25 – A female caller near Harrington Road reported a firearm in the ditch near her house.

• April 25 – A Waupaca man on State Highway 22 reported he was assaulted by a plainclothes officer. The sheriff’s office later issued an extra patrol notice for this man.

• April 25 –An Appleton man reported his John Deere riding lawn mower was stolen out of his shed.

• April 25 – An anonymous caller reported boaters are not observing the slow/no-wake rule and requested extra patrol.

• April 25 – Corner Express in Embarrass reported someone stole cash from one of the poker machines the night before.

• April 25 – An unknown caller reported two Hispanic males were pulling a Ditch Witch in the area and they said they worked for Spectrum. The caller contacted Spectrum who reported they do not have any crews working in the area.

• April 25 – A juvenile caller reported a friend came to their house and said that he or she was running away, was afraid to be at home and someone there was abusive and high.

• April 25 – An unknown caller reported a juvenile runaway. The youth climbed out the window and left on foot.

• April 25 – A 72-year old man called and said he was dizzy and felt numbness on one side of his face and then hung up.

• April 25 – An unknown caller requested a welfare check on a woman who was exposed to carbon monoxide poisoning in the past. The caller found a note in a bag: “Tell my sisters and friend they did the best they could. Tell my kids it’s not their fault.”

• April 26 – A woman on Mud Lake Road in Iola reported people broke into her home and smeared coconut oil all over her clothes and bed. She is allergic to coconut oil and it has a caustic effect.

• April 26 – An Ogdensburg man on Rail Road reported nearby dogs dug a bunch of holes under his shed and caused damage.

• April 26 – A New London woman on Bear Lake Road reported her daughter received an inappropriate text message on her cell phone.

• April 26 – A Weyauwega woman on Baldwin Road reported she and her boyfriend were arguing. He had thrown things and she was locked in her room.

• April 26 – A Fremont woman on Waupaca Street reported she was followed home from school by some juveniles who tried to run her off the road near Weyauwega.

• April 26 – An Ogdensburg man on Vesey Lake Road reported a suspicious red Jeep Cherokee sitting on the road with no hazards on and no one around.

• April 27 – A Marion caller on Magolski Road requested an ambulance for an elderly man who that was too weak to get out of bed. He was unsteady and very weak.

• April 27 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile punched a couple staff members.

• April 27 – An anonymous caller reported a man with two warrants out for his arrest was at a certain address.

• April 27 – An anonymous caller reported finding a syringe on Landing Road, a half mile south of County Trunk X.

• April 27 – A Weyauwega man on State Highway 54 reported his truck was egged.

• April 28 – A Clintonville woman on Buelow Road reported finding a blue garbage bag with needles and small plastic bottles inside. She marked the location with an orange tulip.

• April 28 – An anonymous caller reported illegal burning. Someone was burning down a shed.

• April 28 – A New London woman on Beckert Road requested an ambulance for a 91-year-old woman with chest pain and a history of heart problems.

• April 28 – A Waupaca man on King Road requested an officer to escort a woman off his property. She had been drinking.

• April 28 – A Fremont caller on Oak Street requested a welfare check for a woman having a mental breakdown who was saying she’s “done with everything.”

• April 28 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile sprayed another resident with urine.

• April 28 – Oshkosh Police Department reported a vehicle that fled from a traffic stop at a high rate of speed.

• April 28 – A Manawa man on River Road reported he was assaulted by a woman. She was throwing things and he got hit in the head. Drinking was involved.

• April 29 – A New London caller on Madden Road reported she was out $500 on her cash app and she believed another woman she knew was involved in its disappearance.

• April 29 – A Waupaca caller on Larson Road reported a man having a heart attack.

• April 29 – A New London caller on County Trunk X reported a man stumbling down the road who appeared to have been drinking.

• April 29 – An anonymous caller reported a suspicious man wearing all black was hitchhiking on Royalton Street.

• April 29 – An unknown caller reported a bearded man was locked out of a bar but was trying to force his way back inside. His mother and aunt were trying to get him to leave but he pushed them to the ground.

• April 29 – An anonymous caller reported a person tried to sell the caller methamphetamine at a certain address.

• April 29 – A caller reported her ex-boyfriend made suicidal comments. He said, “Don’t be surprised if you don’t hear from me.”

• April 29 – A Germantown woman reported the bulbs were cut off her string lighting on her back deck.

• April 29 – The Wisconsin Veterans Home in King reported a man was kicking and punching staff in the Covid unit.

• April 29 – A Manawa caller on Bridge Street reported a 21-year-old man was wandering around, acting strange and paranoid. The caller wanted the young man committed.

• There were 28 controlled burns reported. Two loose horses were reported in the roadway. A county highway employee reported 40 sheep running loose. A Marion woman reported a horse and pony tied up too close to the road. There were two reports of manure in the road. One cat bite was reported. A 911 caller reported a cat stuck 20 feet up in a tree. A Weyauwega man reported six sheep running loose. Horses were reported running loose on Crystal Lake Road. A lost chocolate Labrador retriever was found near Evanswood Village. An unknown caller reported striking a raccoon and it was still alive and stuck in the grill.
