Comets host Vic-Tree Invitational

New London wins girls’ title

Ten area track teams competed May 4 in the Vic-Tree Invitational at Waupaca High School.

Winneconne and New London won boys’ and girls’ team championships, respectively.

Team scores for the boys were Winneconne (134), New London (113.5), Marathon (98), Iola-Scandinavia (73.5), Waupaca and Pacelli (67), Manawa (66), Rosholt (60), Wittenberg-Birnamwood (11) and Tri-County (8).

New London won the girls’ competition with 118 points, followed by Marathon (108), Manawa (103), Winneconne (80.5),

Wittenberg-Birnamwood (77), Rosholt (58), Pacelli (47), Waupaca (41), Tri-County (37.5) and Iola-Scandinavia (14).

Individual event winners for boys and girls

• 100-meter dash: Jensen Rice, Iola-Scandinavia (11.66); Reese Rogowski, Wittenberg-Birnamwood (13.04); Drake Carlson, Marathon (wheelchair) (20.8).

• 200-meter dash: Alex Wierzba, Rosholt (22.91); Joey Perry, Winneconne (25.76).

• 400-meter dash: Riggs Nelson, Winneconne (53.06); Reese Rogowski, Wittenberg-Birnamwood (59.62); Drake Carlson, Marathon (wheelchair) (1:14.49).

• 800-meter run: Reid Cross, Winneconne (2:05.5); Sophia Bablitch, Rosholt (2:25.91); Drake Carlson, Marathon (wheelchair) (2:42.44).

• 1,600-meter run: Charlie Vater, Iola-Scandinavia (4:22.59); Elsie Abba, New London (5:44.81).

• 3,200-meter run: Owen Lencki, Waupaca (10:20.32); Jane Johnston, New London (12:32.36).

• 100-meter hurdles (girls): Abby Elmhorst, Manawa (17.67).

• 110-meter hurdles (boys); Griffin Treankler, Marathon (16.82).

• 300-meter hurdles: Griffin Treankler, Manawa (42.86); Faith Resch, Weyauwega-Fremont (48.27).

• High jump: Kyle Wisniewski, New London (6 feet. 4 inches); Braelyn Pionke, Tri-County (5 feet).

• Long jump: Kyle Wisniewski, New London (22 feet, 3 1/2 inches); Reese Rogowski, Wittenberg-Birnamwood (16 feet, 9 inches).

• Triple jump: Kyle Wisniewski, New London (44 feet, 1 1/4 inches); Macy Reybrock, New London (32 feet, 11 3/4 inches).

• Pole vault: Trey Zimke, Winneconne (11 feet, 6 inches); Jersey Lobner, Marathon (7 feet, 6 inches).

• Discus: Brady Immel, Winneconne (145 feet, 7 inches); Emily Schell, Winneconne (109 feet).

• Shot put: Josh Grignon, Winneconne (47 feet, 10 inches); Payton Skortz, Rosholt (35 feet, 7 1/2 inches); Drake Carlson, Marathon (wheelchair) (20 feet, 5 inches).

• 400-meter relay: Manawa (45.33); Marathon (53.53).

• 800-meter relay: Pacelli (1:35.63); Pacelli (1:55.57).

• 1,600-meter relay: Waupaca (3:33.44); New London (4:12.82).

• 3,200-meter relay: Pacelli (8:26.5); Manawa (10:58.49).
