Drill team to host family night

Event planned at Manawa Rodeo Grounds

The Hometown Heroes Drill Team will host family night at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at the Manawa Rodeo Grounds, located at Hoffmann Memorial Park, E5888 County Trunk B, Manawa.

Family and friends are invited to help the team kick off its 2023 rodeo performance season. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the riders and watch them perform.

A potluck dinner will follow at 7 p.m. and everyone should bring a dish to pass and their own beverages.

The team operates under the Rodeo City Riders Saddle Club and is open to girls ages 12-18 years. It has been created in an effort to get youth involved and prepare them for joining the Rodeo City Riders down the road.’

The event is open to the public.
