Gerald Kenneth Lienhard, age 77 of New London passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at his home.
Jerry was born on August 24, 1945 in New London, the son of the late Raymond and Lucille (Grawvunder) Lienhard. He graduated from New London High School with the Class of 1963. He entered the Wisconsin National Guard and served from 1965-1971. He married Joanne Koval on April 19, 1969 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Jerry worked at the New London Police Department from 1967-2002. After 33 plus years in law enforcement, Jerry retired as a Captain. He continued to work part-time at Radtke Rhone Insurance for 20 plus years, retiring from there in 2011.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Joanne; children, Jennie (Bruce) Breitrick and Jason (Theresa) Lienhard; grandchildren, Alison, Karl and Erik Breitrick and Gavin Lienhard and his brother, Donald (Judy) Lienhard.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Earl and Frieda Grawvunder and Ervin Lienhard and Martha Lienhard Andrews.
The Funeral Service for Jerry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London with Rev. Mark Tiefel officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
