Elaine A. Abrahamson, age 85, of Waupaca passed away at Crossroads Care Center, Weyauwega, WI on June 20, 2023.
Elaine was born on July 14, 1937, in the Town of Belmont, Portage County. She was the 3rd child of Raymond and Norma (Pomerenke) Mallison. She married Gaylord Abrahamson on July 19, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, WI. She was a stay-at-home mom. She took care of her children, grandchildren and once in a while the great grandchildren too. She enjoyed her time with the family. She made sure her famous chocolate cake and hotdish was at all the family get togethers. She enjoyed traveling with Gaylord and family and friends on the Harley. She enjoyed camping with the family. Gaylord and Elaine helped start the Chain O’Lakes riders motorcycle club. They sponsored motorcycle hill climbs in Sheridan, WI.
She is survived by: her husband Gaylord of 64 years, her daughter Sharon (Mark) Rasmussen, Waupaca and son Randy (Denise) Abrahamson, Waupaca. Grandchildren Mark (Kay) Rasmussen, Amherst, Amanda (Ben) Miller, Waupaca, Christina (Lawrence) Jaworski, Waupaca Bradley (Nicole) Abrahamson, Waupaca. Great-grandchildren: Jaxson and Merit Rasmussen; Zoe, Kennady and Ryan Miller; Jakob Stedman, Olivia and Lilli Rice Carli and Bryce Abrahamson. Sisters Karen Riske, Clintonville; Sandy Vroman, Wautoma, Diane Pacewicz, Lohrville, Carolyn Cauley, Lohrville. Brothers Laverne Mallison, Wisconsin Rapids, Dennis (Carol) Mallison, Stevens Point. Sister-in-law Doris Mallison, Waupaca. Brother-in-law Phillip Kalata, Wisconsin Rapids. Brother-in-law Allen and Lynn Abrahamson, Waupaca. Also survived by several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws Edward and Gertrude Abrahamson, brother Donald Mallison, infant brother Roger Mallison. Sisters Joanne (Verlyn) Schulke, Eldean Kalata and Barbara (Donald) Nickoli. Brothers-in-law, Donald Vroman, Bob Cauley, and Donald Pacewicz. Also, sisters-in-law, Vivian (Carroll) Jensen, Elizabeth (Everett) Minton, brothers-in-law, Lavern (Alta) Abrahamson, Harold (Shirley) Abrahamson and Donald Abrahamson.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Rev. Andy Behrendt will officiate. Burial will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Holly Funeral Home and again from 10:00 AM until time of service on Tuesday at the Church.
