David P. Morien, age 72 of New London, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at his residence, after a three year battle with kidney cancer.
Dave was born on January 11, 1951 in New London to the late William and Patricia (Beaudoin) Morien. Dave graduated from New London High School with the class of 1969. Dave then attended UW Oshkosh and received his BS in Archeology. He married Pamela Mergy on March 13, 1976 in New London. She preceded him in death in 1996. He worked as a field representative for Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) for 35 years.
Dave is survived by his special friend, Brenda Stern; children, Jason Morien (fiancé, Tawny Saldana), Chad Morien (fiancé, Erin Gorges) and Madeline Morien (special friend, Tyler Dorn); grandchildren, Keegan and Collin Morien and Carter and Harper Bauer and his siblings, James (Patti) Morien, Peter (Debbie) Morien, Elizabeth (Larry) DeBruin, Mary (Jim) Ciske, Trish (Paul) Johnson, Becky (Mark) Barnett, Jenny Morien and Joseph (Charlene) Morien. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
The Memorial Service for Dave will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London with Fr. Phil Schoofs officiating. The visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, New London.
Following the ceremony, friends and family are invited for a celebration of Dave’s life at the Hatten Park Shelter House, New London.
