
Jean Elizabeth Gorman, age 88, passed away peacefully, on Friday, September 8, 2023,
at her home in the Town of Lebanon, Wisconsin.
Jean was born on April 10, 1935 in Pella, Wisconsin to the late John and Clara (Peter) Mansee. She married Edward Gorman on August 1, 1964, and together, they had a beautiful daughter.
Over the years, Jean worked at Home Mutual, The Print Shop and The Reminder Office, and these were in addition to her farm duties. She loved to be outside! In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, sports, mowing the lawn, being a 4H Leader, and going out for a Friday night fish fry. Her favorite meal was making a reservation somewhere else to eat. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, dancing, especially with Ed, and trips to Shawano Lake.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Joan (David) Sprenger and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Clara; her loving husband of 58 years, Ed; and her siblings, Dora (Cleland) Popke, Selma (Lyle) Schwenke, Donald (Eunice) Mansee.
The family would like to thank the wonderful neighbors who watched after Jean in Lebanon and the Waupaca County Volunteer Driver Program.
The Funeral Service for Jean will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London, with Pastor Mark Tiefel officiating. Visitation will be held at the Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 4:00 -7:00 p.m., and also at the church on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Lebanon.
