Civil War reenactment planned

New London Historical Society to host event

The New London Heritage Historical Society will host a Civil War reenactment Saturday and Sunday, June 22-23, at the Historical Village, 900 Montgomery St.

The event will take place rain or shine from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Demonstrations showing military and civilian life will take place all day at the grounds. Concessions will be available and all buildings on the grounds will be open for tours.

Scheduled demos include infantry drills at 10:30 a.m., artillery drills at noon, cavalry drills at 1:30 p.m. and a skirmish at 2 p.m.

Daily pass is $6 for adults, seniors $5, and children ages 6-17 $3. Two-day passes are $9 adult, seniors $7.50 and children $4.50. Children under the age of 6 are admitted free.
