Copper enameling, cake decorating, woodworking, mason jar crafts, sharpie art, flower arranging and electronic connections were part of Waupaca County’s annual Super Saturday event in March.

Sponsored by the Waupaca County 4-H Program, over 35 educational sessions were offered to 4-H members, leaders and parents.

“Learn by Doing” is the 4-H philosophy and that is exactly what 186 participants did at Manawa Little Wolf Junior/Senior High School as they participated in hands-on workshops led by youth and adults. 4-H members, leaders and community volunteers helped make the event a success by offering their talents in teaching classes.

The Waupaca County 4-H Program is committed to reaching new audiences through a variety of programming. Any youth in kindergarten through high school seniors and adult volunteers are welcome to participate in the program.

For information on this and other 4-H Youth Development opportunities, call Penny Tank, 4-H program assistant, at the UW-Extension Office, 715-258-6230 or penny.tank@ces.uwex.edu and waupaca.uwex.edu.
