MADISON-Almond-Bancroft’s bats came alive against Thorp in the Division 5 State Semi-Final as they jumped out to an early lead.

Kerstyn Clark went two-for-two and contributed five RBI, and Riya Ceballos went three-for-three with five RBI of her own.

Aaliyah Newby went two-for-two with two RBI, and Mya Dernbach went four-for-four with four runs.

Almond-Bancroft scored enough runs by the end of the fourth inning to allow the mercy rule to come into play as they advance to the Division 5 State Championship game.

The offensive consistency was not there for Almond-Bancroft, as they could not keep up with Belmont.

Mya and Tia Dernbach each scored a run, as well as Kerstyn Clark, as they finished runner-up for the Division 5 state championship.
